Kellon Thomas - like Johnson he's very efficient. Close to a pure point guard who can really control the tempo of the game. His Southport team struggled through most of the year but came together late and in the sectionals pulled a big upset over Center Grove. Thomas is about 5-foot-10 and one advantage he has over many of the other guards here is great strength. That helps him get places easy and helps make him a better defender. Solid outside shooter so you need to guard him out top. Not quite the yo-yo handle or the quickness of some of the other point guards here but many of those other guys don't seem to have the command he can have over his teams. This spring he's playing alongside good friend Ron Patterson on the Indiana Elite One 16U team. Already has a couple D1 offers and recently took unofficial visit to Indiana.
Rivals.

Was at ISU today. He tweeted that Indiana State was great. He really liked the players and the campus.

Kellon Thomas, Southport (2012): Thomas, a 6-foot point guard, is also planning to visit Loyola on Aug. 6. He said he hasn’t narrowed down his list yet, but was hoping to soon. He named offers from including Austin Peay, Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, IPFW, IUPUI, Loyola (Ill.), Morehead State, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville and UC-Davis. Thomas is also playing football so making visits will be more difficult once the season starts.
