This was posted prior to our transfer (future) signings this week. Think this scenario, if it ever was even worth considering, is highly unlikely now.

Idk about that we are likely to lose Watkins from what I am hearing and he is athletic enough to play wideout if need be...

At this point, however, his only firm scholarship offer is from Indiana State University to play basketball. As the football signing period begins on Wednesday, Pendleton is expected to wait, perhaps for basketball's spring signing period, which begins in April.

A Southern Illinois football assistant visited Pendleton at Bosse last fall; the Salukis are recruiting Pendleton as an "athlete." Morehead State, which is non-scholarship in football, is interested in him as a quarterback. Indiana State's football program has shown interest, but the Sycamores don't want him to play both sports. However, the University of Houston has expressed interest in him as a package deal.

Kid has had an amazing run the last couple weeks. If we don't take this kid, I hope he doesn't go to another Valley team. Can't believe Evansville didn't go after him harder. All he does is win and make big plays.

Yeah I think he had like 32 points,9 rebounds & 4 assists last night.Sounds like a good one!

It was, as Jalen Pendleton scored 20 of his 34 points in the first half of a 77-56 victory over No. 8 Brownstown Central.

Pendleton was 12-for-15 from the field, several on driving layups, and had 10 rebounds.

Bosse will play No. 10 Guerin Catholic (22-5) next Saturday in the semistate, either at Seymour or Southport. The IHSAA will reveal its semistate pairings this afternoon. Bosse is making its first semistate appearance since the 2007 team wound up state runner-up.

Guerin Catholic wins at Seymour 75-56 over Evansville Bosse. 2014 Aaron Brennan with 22 pts, 9 rebs and 4 blocks for Guerin Catholic. 2012 Jalen Pendleton with 29 pts and 10 stls.

Will be visiting MSU soon I have been told. Has anyone seem this kid play? What are his strengths/weakness?

He is much more well rounded than he was a year ago...he is a scorer and a great defender.

Good to hear, will be interesting to see where he goes. The amount of talent coming in next year coupled with some of the freshman years could make things really fun.

Hard to translate to the college game. He gets most of his points from 2 ft. Outside shot doesn't look great, but he does handle well enough to penetrate at will.

His outside shot is improving...it improved slot this year...he Is at the very least decent thisyear...

What kind of a chance do we have to land this kid? Our varsity coach was at the top 60 work outs over the weekend with J.T. Yoho and said this kid was a very very good player and seemed to be a quality kid over all.

0% -- we're out of scholarships if Mike Samuels signs with us. Here is how our eligibility looks right now. With Koang leaving, we technically have 1 scholarship. However, Brenton Scott has verballed for 2013 and he's effectively taken that off the books.

The only addition we could make right now, barring someone coming on non-scholarship, would be to take a immediately eligible player that only has one year of eligibility left.

Senior Eligibility (0)

Junior Eligibility (5)

G Jake Odum *
G Lucas Eitel %
G Steve McWhorter
F Manny Arop

C Mike Samuels

Sophomore Eligibility (2)
F Jake Kitchell *
F Justin Gant

Freshman Eligibility (5)
G Devonte Brown *
G Brandon Burnett *
F Khristian Smith
F Rhett Smith
F T.J. Bell

I guess he could still get a schollie for football and walk-on the basketball team.

Although, we are 5 or 6 quarterbacks deep, right?

I don't think that would work. Usually the scholarship has to count against the highest program, which would mean it would be a hoops scholarship. Maybe Whistlegoat could clear that up, but I think that is how the NCAA works with multi-sport athletes. Had we been FBS in football, it could then be kosher I think.
