Brandon Murphy I thought had a surprisingly nice senior season for us.
I think Kitchell could be put into that category. I think his value exceeded his athletic ability.
Harry Marshall and Devonte Brown were two that developed tremendously from their FR year if you consider guards.

I think all of you looking for the team to add traditional centers are going to be disappointed. I would look for guys with a build similar to Wilbar than bigger than him. Hopefully they would be more athletic. JS system does not have a role for a traditional center.
Anyone over 6'7 would be nice. Right now that's the tallest player on our roster.

I have said for years that to compete in the MVC a 6'8 frontline (and 6'7 ok) would be very formidable; anyone 6'9 or taller that would fall our way is a project & usually have enough shortcomings to be a liability.

Yep, I would say they're probably looking for a 6'8"-6'9" guy that can hit the 3 ball.

Lewis got Sparks to stay at Ball State. He was getting a ton of interest from HMs.

Will be interesting to see how he recruits in Muncie.

Every LSU scholarship player from last season who’s not staying in the draft is in the portal.

Super interesting to see McMahon taking quite a few of his Racers to LSU, too.

Sounds as if the LSU players understand the seriousness of the NCAA charges...and that LSU could be posturing to "lighten" the inevitable punitive consequences.

It's really interesting that the recommits are happening so slowly, too. I would have figured some of these kids would have laid the groundwork for their next spot but apparently not.

Xavier Johnson of IU just entered the Indiana justice league portal after putting up a nice triple double of Public intoxication, DWI, and Resisting Arrest for a nice policeman in Bloomington. Have no fear Wonder Mike will sweep this one under the table.

My guess this young man is looking for a p5 offer. It said online he was offered by Xavier and Dayton while in high school but they were both early. Not sure they were still active by the time he graduated. Pretty sure he went the prep school route to try and drum up more interest. Not saying he would never end up at State but it’s probably a long shot. He was already starting most of the games at EMU so playing time wasn’t an issue. Usually that points to a guy who wants a higher profile program to join.

Three players from Saint Peter's have entered the portal. Wonder if they're following their coach to Seton Hall?
