Very glad SIU got that win last night...but the irony and pain of it all, it ended up being a Quad 4 win at home.

Outside of us rough night for the Valley last night. Aces played in a very hostile environment and in front of more than 13k. Could help them out throughout the season. Wonder who/when was the last Valley team to play in front of that many folks.

If CUSA expands SFA would be my guess unless UMASS wants to join CUSA for all sports.
Missouri State moving to that league would be pure desperation. It's a downgrade across the board. Unless it's a Sun Belt offer I doubt they bite.
Can't see Samford, Furman, or Chattanooga. Downgrade in hoops and they'd have to pay a $2M SOCON exit fee on top of a $5M FBS entrance fee.
EKU would love it, but I'm sure WKU will do everything they can to block them.
FAMU. Can't see them leaving the SWAC and can't see an FBS league being interested in a SWAC school enough to invite them.
Tarleton State. Maybe right behind SFA in the realistic pecking order, but they are still very new to D1.

They made a comeback then because they were down 20 at one point
UNI with a nice win over Richmond. Richmond had a NET of 80. There is no reason UNI should have a NET of 226. The valley has a chance to be a top 8 conference if they had something respectable for computer numbers
Drake comes from behind and beats a limping St. Louis team. Drake has been the most pedestrian 8-1 team I've ever seen. I think some of these games they are able to pull out in the early non-con are going to be loses when they get to valley play

Solid day for the valley to eek out a 4-1 record yesterday. Valpo is the only anchor right now with a NET of 300 and with Murray 210 and UNI 182 following them.
UNI still has winnable games against @95, 111, 326, @116 so they have the opportunities to move up and help out the conference
The Belmont/Lipscomb game was a fun ending to watch. Lipscomb is just a few miles down the road so the gym was packed and rocking for the rivalry game. Belmont really needs a forum to get more chatter about that program. I almost forget about them being the valley because there is just no fan presence for the Bruins.

SIU had a nice win too. Refs tried to do everything to take the game away but Salukis came out on top.
The MVC moved into 8th in NET rankings after last night's games. Defeating two A-10 teams helped us move in front of them.
