Evansville up 2, 26-24 at home against SIU at the half

It’s as ugly as the score would sugest

At one point SIU went over 8 minutes without a basket, then later the Aces went over 6 min without a basket.

Xavier Johnson looks like Swope in the first half totally out of sync after the injury. The referees are not doing SIU any favors as UE are playing football.

I watched the second half of the ILSU Bradley game last night and this game is pretty similar to that one. I actually enjoy watching these physical low scoring games.

Bradley losing there had the potential for disaster as they could have ended up tied in 4th with a losable game left at Drake. Think the goal here is to only play Drake OR Bradley and not both.
That being said, Bradley losing there also had the potential of putting Bradley on the edge of playing Thursday.

Plus it might have moved Illinois State up to a quad 3 loss instead of a 4.

Jason, the bracket you posted if the season ended today, man that would be a good bracket for us.

Chance to get revenge on Illinois state in the first game, SIU or a 3rd game in 3 days UNI in semis.

I would take that bracket all day long

Xavier Johnson really should be the MVC POY in my opinion. SIU would be a 10th place team without him. Him diving on the floor twice there on the same play at the end to get the loose ball before it went out was an MVP type of play.

No it’s most likely to go to Robbie.
