My starting line-up for game number one of 2024-2025...

PG: just kidding
SG: made ya look
F: who knows
F: Jay Tunnell
C: big man

So now that we've filled the 2023 class, our 2024 class only has 2 openings. Obviously if we have any program departures next year that number goes up, but as for now, 2 spots.

In looking at our outstanding offers, it looks like they're looking for a PG and a BPA type with the second opening and casting a pretty wide net.

4 solid Sr's that are probably not going anywhere.

I can't imagine 2 of our FR not redshirting this year, however, the transfer portal might change the philosophy on that.

Have to think a PG, no?
I think PG, too. Transfers change the calculus on this every year, but as it stands right now we will be fairly wing/big heavy with only Conwell as a PG-type left on the roster after next year.

Still, if we can sign that 4 star big we had visit this past weekend you absolutely do that. Guards are much easier to find at our level than impact front court players.

So where do we go with the last scholly? Thoughts??

I would be surprised is it’s the last one… Another one will likely open up via the portal after the season. It will be interesting to see what others on here that follow recruiting closely think - I wouldn’t be shocked to see them sit on the scholarship knowing the level of talent that is entering the portal.

That said, he might want to get younger with that scholarship just to make sure he’s got a little more even distribution based on years of eligibility. So that would make good sense as well.

But PG seems like a good idea or again in this system if you can find a well rounded long athletic wing that can handle it - just as good as anything else.

Very true....I still don't initial think about filling holes with the portal. Thats just going to take time for me to get use to I guess. I absolutely agree, if we can get an Ethan Lathan caliber player, you get him and figure out the rest.

Kind of early to think about PT, but some may feel squeezed and decide to move on.
Next year is optional for Larry, too.
I think Shetlar and AK may have to be patient, but I hope they are.
I would hate to see Vorst leave.
We know Miller will be at the end of the bench and a potential cut.
There is always a potential injury or attitude.

You're assuming Gray is eligible this year. Hope you are right.

So would Gray be a junior on this list if he is denied his appeal?

He would still have two years left correct?
