I don't think anyone expected them to win, but I thought they would have been more competitive.
Thankfully the bar for most embarrassing loss of the Diamond Head classic is Loyola and Drew "I think Peoria, IL sucks" Valentine losing to Oakland.

I do think Roger Powell is a good coach and is of very high character. I just can't see Valpo EVER competing at the top of the valley. If he can get them competitive and challenging teams night in and night out that is a hell of a coaching job

That shocks me. The Bears were playing some pretty good ball earlier in the year. To get beat by 17 @ Evansville and only score 40 to boot is just wild.
MSU isn’t good so I thought the home team would win. EU was without a top player as well.
