You’re probably right here. I don’t follow Purdue at all, but they do seem to get the best prep players from Indiana.
I’m sure there are outliers, but it feels like just about all schools are fighting in the same shallow pool of transfer players. I know the portal has a ton of players in it, but it’s quantity over quality.
High schoolers seem like the collateral damage of the NIL era. We have to find a way to forge a different path than everyone else; otherwise, we’re just wishing/hoping to catch lightning in a bottle.
