Sure would be nice to get some more game announcements.
I can't remember a time when the MTE hasn't at least been leaked, if not formally announced, by June/July. Fans need notice to get flights, hotels, time off work, etc. Usually they know--or at least have an idea--nearly a year in advance. In fairness MTEs are different now given more HMs are all playing in MTE's with each other leaving more MMs to fend for themselves when finding a good MTE worth playing in that will pay most/all of the freight.

Not really. That was my point. You have to get into a good one early or get left with the scraps like what’s on that list. There’s only a few quality HM and MM potential opponents left to make an MTE worthwhile—let alone exciting enough and exotic enough to cause fans to get on a plane and drop a few thousand dollars on a mini-vacation. The bulk of that list is middling MMs and LMs that don’t move the needle.

It looks like the best of what’s left around (DMB was in town this weekend) is something like the Greenbrier River Division or other MM-only tourney.

Here is the company that puts on a bunch of MTEs. There are several I don't see on the BTB list like the Empire Classic, for example.

Also, not sure if the Ball Dawgs Classic is coming back for 2025.

What I have been noticing, some teams are scheduled to play in NBA arenas as a neutral game. Maybe we get lucky and will get to play in one of them.

Currently 4 confirmed OOC games? No MTE rumors at all.

So that leaves us 4 or so more OOC games to be announced plus an MTE? Getting surprisingly late in the summer without any news. Looks like the official non-con schedule was posted to Insta on August 19th last year, and while the MTE wasn't official at that point, it had been rumored/known since the spring. So...hopefully a lot of movement coming in the next week or two.

The way it works is schools that don't get to play the schools they wanted have to play mid majors and they going to wait until the last minute as much as they can. Mid majors can negotiate price bc well the reality/perception is we have to win the conference tournament anyway vs them wanted to get an at large.

Still don’t understand why MMs like us and others in the same boat don’t just get together and play home and homes. We can’t be the only team in this bind.

I made the trip to Myrtle Beach (Shertz's first year) and to Vegas two years ago. The athletic directors of each team are usually in attendance. Why they don't get together and discuss scheduling each other the following year is beyond me.
