Driving home Tuesday night, I had Sirius Channel 84 College Sports Radio broadcasting the Tennessee vs Louisville game. It was the UT broadcast and the announcers were jubilant that the Volunteers, led by Jacobi Gillespie (an MVC Alum) was thrashing the Cardinals; however, they were constantly mentioning how Ryan Conwell was a tremendous player and UT couldn't control him.

I don't think we appreciate how many MVC portal guys move to a power conference team and become a critical element in that team's success. They just are not the 10-14th player sitting at the end of the bench. I just wish I had a better mastery of all of the transfers out so I would recognize the names when I hear them.

Not a bad lineup starting with DeVries, Avila, Conwell and Gillespie. Throw in Rienck Mast and a few more and you might win a game or two.

Manyawu and Stirtz are doing well at Iowa. Peterson at Washington, I think. Tyson doing great at Minnesota.

James Nnaji signing to Baylor after playing is crazy to think about. I’m not a fan of that eligibility transfering, just as I’m not a fan of the way the NIL has been rolled out. Mid-majors are already handicapped by the system enough as it is, but this provides a unique opportunity for a major program booster with NBA influence to run an off the books compensation scheme. However with the right staffing I.e. former low level NBA assistants who have made the move to the NCAA, might present an opportunity for smaller schools to make mid season “acquisitions” under the right set of conditions and players.

Your current top 50 NET teams are 50-33 in true road games this year. Yes, the 50 "best" teams in the country average 1 road win.....it's about to be January and the season half over....

#9 BYU, #16 Houston, #29 St. Johns havn't played a road game yet

BYU, Iowa, Houston, Texas Tech, Tennessee, Florida, Kentucky, Arkansas, St. Johns, NC State, Indiana, Auburn, Clemson, Baylor, and Butler don't have a road win yet. 15 out of the top 50 teams don't have a road win yet.

The most road games played by a top 50 team is 5 with #48 McNeese State going 2-3 in those. The next most road games is only 3. Just for context your Sycamores are currently 2-4 in road games.

Scheduling has gotten out of control
