Oxford is one of my favorite college towns in the Midwest. Always loved visiting over there.

Was actually thinking about Miami today. I hope they go undefeated and lose in the MAC title game and force the NCAA tournament to pick another 17-13 power conference school over them on Selection Sunday.

Idk what Marshall’s NIL is but man they are fun to watch. They have some JUCO guys and some 4 year seniors. They play uptempo well! Our coaches need to identify these type of players. Marshall can’t be that much ahead of Indiana State in terms of men’s basketball…what do I know though.

Their budget is 3x of ours so I'd imagine they probably double our NIL pool at least and I'd assume they do full revenue sharing to football/hoops.

Disgusting commentary. Mid-major, low-major 1 loss team has gotta make the NCAA tournament. Infuriating. Rules for thee, not for me.

Agree with Jason, hope this scenario happens, NCAA will look so stupid not giving them an at-large.

As a mid-major fan, I either want full parity & fairness, or for mid-majors to break from the NCAA tournament & create their own.

The fact that a 29-0 team is even in the discussion for not making the tournament is ridiculous. Why even play games if they are just going to who they feel the “best” teams are and all the political theatre - like when your son is 15-13 and yet somehow 38 in NET and on the bubble. Insanity.

100% and if you are one the so called "best" teams then why are you losing so many games and STILL getting an at large bid. Then fans and committee will do one of the dumb hypothetical well if Duke played the same schedule.....but Duke is a top 10 program with the best resources so of course they would beat a lot teams. If Duke would "Beat" those teams then why don't you travel to Miami (OH) and prove it lol Bruce Pearl would never do that with Auburn.

I wonder if he thinks his 2005 UW-Milwaukee team deserved an at large bid. They were 24-5 (would have been 23-6 if they had lost in the conference tournament final), and had no notable wins outside of the conference. That team made it to the Sweet 16, but apparently in Pearl's eyes they couldn't have been one of the "best" teams in basketball that year because they played in the Horizon league?

In the first upset of March, 3-28 Gardner Webb takes down 13-18 SC Upstate in the first round of the Big South Conference Tournament, 65-54

I love the "they didn't play anybody" argument...and then you have a shot to give them a free play against "somebody" and its "whoooooaaaaaa there"

“They didnt play anyone” should be rephrased too “no one would play them”

Anytime I see someone post “they didnt play anyone” it’s a tell tale sign that they have no idea what is going on in the college sports landscape and they are just a meathead with a 68 IQ thinking they know it all.

Imagine being 30-0 in March and being on the bubble. If you're a mid major why even play the regular season at all at this point?

Glad I watched it. Has to be one of the best college regular season games of the season.

They haven't even declared for the portal (yet?), but I'd take #0 &#1 for the Sycs, w/o question or delay: Eian Emer (1 yr. Eligibility remaining) & Trey Perry 3 yrs remaining).

Miami Ohio has a good roster. Bradley's former forward Atlanson got some playing time, but he's not even a top 5 player. I'm sure they have a good NIL budget for the MAC, but still, great roster creation. The pieces fit well.

Steele's MO was he was a big time talent evaluator and recruiter when he was the underling at Xavier during their Miller days. So that makes sense.

Pearl reminds me of Tony Soprano when a blows a guys brains out right after he says, "it's not personal, Its just business. No hard feelings."
