So do you all think we've saved the best for last (lol!) or just going to fill a spot because we can? Thoughts 🤷‍♂️

Great question:

Guessing not a ton of "NIL" money remains available. So, try to find another NAIA or D2 diamond in the rough? A player that staff thinks will potentially fill a specific need.

Or, find a player with good traits that needs an opportunity, like our previous player signed.

Yes sir. 10 more pounds, mostly muscle, and maintaining would have helped a lot.

Still a decent Valley player, but potential for more.

Wish him well.

A lot of unnecessary hate on his name. I don’t really get it.

He played her a second year at a discount - he bet on himself and lost.

But honestly, he bet on the program surrounding him with better players and lost as well. Like Camp is a piece he’s not a guy - Camp is basically Jordan Pritney on shitty teams. People wanted him to be something he wasn’t. As your 3rd option on the floor he’s a heck of an option when teams aren’t focusing on not letting him beat them.

The slander needs to stop.

Respectfully, you misread my previous post. No hate from me. He was a decent Valley player (this is a compliment), and I'm glad he was a Sycamore.

No, I didn’t miss it - I was just adding to your point which was why I quoted you… It wasn’t an attack on you it was in defense of him to anyone trying to throw shade on his time here. That’s all.

IS Camp physical enough to play with our new guys? It would be cool to find out, looking forward to the season!

No hate on Camp. I’d like him back in the program and SSOM isn’t wrong with his write up on him. With that said, his agents post and Camps play (seemed disinterested compared to the rest of his time here) really tainted his perception here, which is unfortunate. I also think us Sycamore fans are a little more sensitive to the transfer portal, NIL, tampering, etc. than the average fanbase; which you can’t blame us.

It is interesting though that he hasn’t signed anywhere. Without running the numbers I’d guess majority of programs are filled or only have 1 maybe 2 spots left….he has to be getting nervous

Not throwing shade, not picking a fight. you and I will always disagree on this kid, you see a star I see a player who in year two didn't live up to the hype or expectations placed on him by the coaches or fans, but he wasn't the only one. You can't hang our hat on he is a good player cause he came back for peanuts last year when he could have got more elsewhere that has zero to do with our record or play last year. If you look at only his 2 years here, if it had another name on the jersey, you would highly likely would sum it up as mediocre to average. You have to at least give me that as a summation.

I have no ill will towards the kid and hope he does like many who leave here and goes somewhere and balls out, I really do. Till something crazy happens and he would be announced as #15 scholly, we have to consider him now the past and to look the future to potentially some excitement with this new class. Again, till we see them together in Sycamore blue I refuse to say they are studs or another mediocre playing below perceived potential.

That will be my last comment on this kid other than to wish him luck wherever he lands. Who knows maybe you and I will be on the same side looking at the new class next year. Crazier shit has happened.

I don’t see a “star player” that is the complete opposite of anything I’ve ever said about him - you can debate me and disagree with me all you want. But you’re not going to put words in my mouth.

He was on two pretty bad teams… He needed better players around him to really showcase his shooting abilities. I have remained consistent on that. I don’t know what else to tell you. It becomes pretty easy to guard our best shooter when no one is a threat to score or beat anyone off the dribble - that makes getting open shots pretty difficult.
