Automatic starter. His play fits perfectly with our offense. As a FR, he had over 63% effective FG%, 63% on 2's and 42% on 3's.
Good stuff.

I agree. I honestly keep forgetting about him, because we haven't seen him play this year. He should really help us especially loosing Coop. There will likely be a drop off, a least for a little while, from Coop to Crawford but I expect him to do well. I see what Coach had in mind especially with this group of seniors being ahead of Crawford. He gets better going against these guys everyday and doesn't lose any more eligibility. I am not ready to have this year end by any means, but you can't help but be excited for what lies ahead either.

Automatic starter... Says the guy who said Cooper Neese wouldn't start a game all season and he proceeds to start every single game. You literally couldn't get a worse endorsement. He's doomed.

Not hard to imagine he’d be ahead of several people due to the emphasis on “corporate knowledge.” I wouldn’t guarantee starts without knowing who’s even on the team but anything is possible. Just rewatched his 1st year highlights and he was the recipient of several dimes from Larry and Bledson. That connection should only be getting stronger with time.

So interesting that this thread is revived, because...I was looking at it literally yesterday just out of some curiosity. I totally forgot he was Schertz's first HS commit! His length will be so welcomed (back)!

I've got Crawford tentatively penciled in at the 2G spot next year barring any roster additions. I remember three things from his first year -- nice looking stroke from 3, he attacked the offensive glass and his length gave some Valley guards fits. I'm interested in seeing how much he improved, especially getting to go head-to-head with this group in practice.

Seemed a good defensive player as a raw freshman. I recall he was the one that tipped or blocked the Miami players last second shot in the Trees win a year ago. This was one player i did not want to lose in the portal.

Got him penciled in that 2-3 spot next year as well. The only known starters we have coming back next year is Larry playing the 1 and Avila playing the 5. You can assume Kent and Bledson are going to get their minutes next year (maybe one or both consistently starting?) with Hobbs in the same role he is in this year. That leaves 1 maybe 2 starting rolls for someone that isn't playing this year. I can see a little bit of "mixing up" the lineup till Schertz finds something that sticks. But you got to think one of Crawford, Daughtry, Manyawu will be in that 2 spot.

But it's sssooo hard to talk about next year until you know your roster this day and age with the transfer portal. Honestly I'd put my money on us landing a transfer or two to fill the void that Voss filled this year.

And as a sidebar note on Cam's age...when he's a Senior for us, he'll be 23 years old, 22 years as a Junior, and 21 as a Sophomore; all giving him time fill out that lanky body, and becoming a more powerful slasher.

he really didn't seem to be engaged with the team in pregame warmups - more interested in taking pictures

I called this one privately to some folks but didn't want to speak it into existence as he had been following a ton of coaches on Twitter over the last week or so.
