He has very little help. When they double team and Luke finds the open man its a coin toss on them making the shot. The lack of inside play is costly, as he surrounded by 6 ft farm boys. This leads to a one shot and done as we Sycamore fans are used too.

He has little to no help ...even so he leads the state in assists by more than 1 assist per game and he is a tenth a point off the scoring lead. I’ve confirmed back to 2009 and I’ve got unconfirmed belief going farther back that there hasn’t been a single player in state history to be the leader in both categories
 
Also they beat Randolph southern in a low energy snoozer of a game where he had 27 and then got revenge on Madison grant who has two solid junior players ...luke had 35 and 12 and sat the final 2:30...game against south Adams was postponed as SA school has “ the flu”
 
Anyone going to Blackford mississinewa tonight ? Top 20 team in 3A vs Top 10 team in 2A ...should be a fun game and it will require brown to have a huge game for Blackford to stay in it

Ouch ...rough one ...maybe the worst I’ve seen him play ...finished with 31 by my count and way below his assist average and way above his turnover average

that was UGLY, another shot tonight against Winchester, on the Blackford Sports Network as always.

I agree having you best ball handler who is always double teamed in bounding the ball is nuts. Kid scored 57 in a loss, unreal
 
I’ve never seen him look that tired
...if you go back and watch the entire fourth quarter the only way they broke the press is if he did it solo and most possessions he would go full speed with the ball all the way to and even through the basket into the out of bounds area on offense then have to sprint to get back to his man on defense who had a quarter court head start ....he covered a lot of ground that quarter almost hit the winner with 0.5 on clock in regulation

After the 54 point game but collapse Blackford bounced back against frankton and this time held their 20 plus point lead...they left a single defender on Luke in the first half and he had 20 points and 3 assists by my count and was given several good looks off the dribble for 3...second half they stayed mostly man to man but sent a second defender at Luke every possession he finished with 31 points for sure and I counted 7 assists but that could be as many as one high or one or two low depending on how a couple were officially scored
 
Saw the 2nd half, pretty good game for Luke tonight! An ISU track and cross country Hall of Famer was officiating the game tonight.
 
No kidding !? Who was it ? ....second half he only had 11 ...looked like he was kind of in cruise mode ...next week he should be pretty engaged against both jay county and eastbrook as they are a little

Glad you said that because I wouldn’t have known ...not sure I’ve seen him do a Blackford game before either. Should be an interesting three games for Blackford next week

Luke had another 30 points tonight in an overtime win over South Adams tonight, close game, lots of sloppy passing though tonight. They play again Friday and Saturday on the Blackford Sports Network on YouTube
 
Luke picked up an offer from Lehigh tonight, I still think he'll stay close to home

 
They’ve played a couple bad games this year and this was near the top of the list ...might be the least aggressive and most careless I’ve seen luke play also ...especially in coach Hoover’s return
 
What is going on with the Grimes kid who transferred in? Why is he stuck in JV purgatory?
