Jay county didn’t sign off on his transfer and Ihsaa gave him zero eligibility ...he appealed and got limited eligibility (jv only) ....then he sought judicial review of the administrative review and they reached a settlement with the Ihsaa today prior to the court hearing where he will be Eligible for the final two games of the regular season and playoffs

What's the backstory?

Didn't Mitchie Daniels shove through a state-wide bill that effectively abolished school districts? As I read it, a kid in Fort Wayne can go Carmel if they chose, they simply have to provide their own transportation?

The Grimes kid transfer during the season or at the cusp?
 
Luke finished with 25 points tonight in a very easy 71-36 win at Eastbrook, they play @ Jay County tomorrow night
 
While you’re correct open district is in effect there are still athletic eligibility requirements. He transferred in May of last year ( so well before the start of this school year ) but jay county declined to sign off on the transfer which left discretion to the Ihsaa. The Ihsaa determined via hearing that the move was athletically motivated and denied all eligibility. On appeal the department of education review panel unanimously voted the Ihsaa ruling was in error but they only granted limited eligibility ( jv only ). Essentially if both schools sign off on a move it’s fine ...if one school doesn’t it’s reviewed.
 
He almost didn’t play from the thigh stinger the night prior ...was a pretty low energy game I’m surprised they let him have that many minutes ....doyel was in the house

A bunch of us 80s alums are going to watch Luke play tonight at Northwestern high school, should be a great game, northwestern has one of the top high school players in the state also
 
Tayson Parker ISNT rated very high which is a travesty because I’ve watched him play several times and I think he compares athletically to pierce Thomas from brownsburgh AND he has a better jump shot so I’m shocked he wasn’t getting looks from bigger places than Indiana Wesleyan ...quick question ...did you guys buy the online tickets in advance ?
 
Reason I ask...northwestern’s gym only has capacity for just under 1900 for some reason ...Blackford almost always travels 500-1000 ....you might make sure tickets are still available

Blackford leading 40-30 brown is 6-8 from 3 and 2-3 from 2. 23 points and 4 assists in the first half. Tayson Parker has my top ten Dunk of the year mark at around 6:50 of the second quarter
