It was very cramped but the other side was bigger opposite the camera at least ... Blackford won 62-53 ...brown had 33 and I counted 5 assists

if you're at home tune in to the Blackford sectional on the Blackford Sports network, Blackford is playing Madison Grant, it's halftime, Blackford up double digits but the announcers are in rare form, worth it to watch!

It was electric ...we have lots of mostly full games but that was PACKED ....didn’t think we could win THAT decisively ....if they play that way they have a solid change at regional

I guess Luke Browns Dad today bought Hamburgers for people waiting in line for regional tickets.

Kids came out during school to thank them and pass some time also ....made the best of a horrible situation ....it’s an absolute crime that only 600 tickets are available when they have had one to two thousand travel to their big games and more at their home games

The other three schools return almost the entirety of their starting five ( Blackhawk has all five back ....barr Reeve replaces O’Neil with hopf....not sure Blackford can beat any of the three but they should be good enough to make games against All but Blackhawk and Luke will play up to par ...will be super fun tourney to watch

End of year update :

-brown named Indiana junior all star
-Brown picked by IBCA to Supreme 15 underclassman
-brown selected all-state third team by AP...the 15 all-state players were made up of 9 seniors and 6 Juniors

- finishes season 66/40/90 ...second time he has finished a season 50/40/90 ( his freshman year he was the only player in the state out of over 4,000 varsity players and I haven’t found a second person to do it this year so he was one of few if not the only one )

-finishes first in scoring at 32.3 and 3rd in assists at 7.7 ( 11 assists off the state lead )

brown leaning towards taking offer from under armor rise team but the aau season is a serious question mark at this point

hope everyone is staying safe ! Hopefully we can get some basketball in at the end of summer

So he is leaning toward an Under Armor team. Does that give us any kind of edge since we are an Under Armor school. I know it used to make a big difference where a kid would go to school depending on his AAU team sponsor affiliation. Does that still hold a lot of weight? More than ever before or not?
( Considering if there wasn’t any pandemic.)

This is just an educated guess as I haven’t asked directly but I would say no in this case. The move to under armor rise was as a result of deciding not to remaine with indiana elite on the adidas circuit and it was the best team offer he was considering for purpose of overall exposure ...I don’t think it was in any way precipitated by being partial or preferential to any sponsored schools ....just my take
