L-Ville is loaded with NIL money. That alone does NOT translate to wins (IU this year for example) Basketball is ultimately a team game.

Incredible ... Mixed emotions ... don't know whether I'm more happy for Conwell or more disappointed with the current competitive disadvantage of college 🏀.
The current state of college sports is all on the universities themselves. The big ones, that is. Instead of making decisions in their individual school's best interest and being greedy, they could have gotten ahead of his debacle by implementing a unified plan to handle player compensation. Yes, the payouts would have kept growing, but they could have controlled the structure and competitive landscape of NIL better. They could have also recognized how eroding the relevance of mid-majors would hurt the product long-term.

My goodness. Don't hate the player, hate the game. Between what he got at Xavier and this season if he even invests 1/4 of what he made he won't have to put another dime in his retirement and never worry about $. He also has a ton of big paychecks coming his way playing ball after college.

He also can goof off, skip class and not worry about getting a degree because he already got his money.

What is the percentage that the agents get?

I actually maybe made a post here - I know I made a call to a brother in law and said, why don’t you front me some capital to create an agency to represent NIL student athletes. I figured if we were an early adopter we could make a fortune.

Shoulda. Coulda. Woulda. Didn’t have the balls to do anything about it and I have a decent enough job. But wish I did looking back on it.

I think the same thing. Back in the early 70's, at work, I heard about a grocery store in Arkansas and a guy named Sam.
