Our undergrad is pretty damn solid, too.

I don't think I've publicly announced it on here but Tanner, a State School of Business product, will be starting his MBA at Stanford here in a month. He got accepted into both Harvard (first Sycamore ever) and Stanford (second Sycamore ever) and ultimately decided on going West. He absolutely loved his time at State and had so many amazing opportunities as a President and Networks scholar.

I also loved my time (also a School of Business product, MIS grad) but I'm no where the academic he was.
agree, very rigorous undergrad program

Hello, my name is Kingston Land. I am a senior this year attending Moeller high school. I’m 18 years old, born June 28th, 2006. I’m the 2nd oldest out of 5. 1 older brother and 1 younger with 2 younger sisters. Our family has seen a lot of ups and downs but that never pulls us apart. Coming from divorced parents was a new role I had to step up to when being able to help around the house. We have always been a big sports family. Always going to different sports events and seeking our goal of being great. There have been many lessons in my life that I have learned from the love of the game, and the difficulty to stay true is very hard when you are at your low.
Over my years into Moller, finishing up my last there have been many accomplishments. When I first came into Moeller I was blessed to be apart of the Varsity basketball team. I was able to play against great competition every single day to get myself better. Leading to my sophomore year I was a varsity starter after suffering a fracture in my wrist. My junior year I had another injury. I was out 6 months with a stress fracture in my back and we ended up losing in the regional finals that would send us to state. Going into the summer of my senior year I tore a ligament in AAU basketball. That has had me out to this day. 7 months. I am now awaiting my senior year hoping for the best in myself and in the team that I can come back stronger than before. Leading up to this year all of these injuries have taken a huge tole on my career of hoops in high school. But has taught me better lessons in life to live it in fullest.
For my future after Moeller is going to Terre Haute, Indiana to attend Indiana state to continue my love for Basketball. I’ve been blessed to receive a full ride.

Wishing Kingston a fully healthy college career. Appreciate his perspective & resilience.

Guy has quite the injury history… So in that paragraph alone I’m seeing 3 different injuries? He’s missed more games than he’s played.

The best ability is availability. Hope he gets healthy but nothing about this post gives me reason for optimism.

You are right about that. I am thinking the kid needs a good strength and conditioning program to help him. Often times when guys are out with injury they don't get the conditioning needed to stay in good shape. Then when the come back the body isn't fully prepared for the full demand put on it. It seems it's even more common for big/tall players. I hope he can get completely healed and get with our strength and conditioning program as quick as possible.

Yeah that can't hurt no pun intended... Once you get into college you get a lot more support and regimented with that stuff which can help. Personally, just based off both personal experience and observation - guys with that lengthy of an injury history are just "prone" to injury. I subscribe to several different theories as it relates to injuries as well - look at Swope last year and what he played through, some guys have higher pain tolerances than others and are willing to really just willing to push their body to the extreme you see it all the time (or it's more publicized in professional sports).

Well a great example is Christian NITU. We all (including me) bitched last fall before his release he wouldn't make it through when he was signed with us. At Florida State this year he is averaging 6.9 points in about 75 min played. He was a mirror image of this kid in high school, so I will reserve judgement.

Nitu has played in 11 of 16 games, averaging 1.3 points per game.

With that being said, I'll give Land the benefit of the doubt, maybe a redshirt year would do him well.
