Ball State will be battle-tested when they visit us on Nov. 25th....in the meantime they've got road games vs Oklahoma, Oregon, and Bucknell.

Their morale could very well be shot by the time they visit HC.

Let's hope... they're going to be pretty solid. Going to be a pretty good game as I know Lansing really wanted both Teague and Mallers.

Auburn is already well-discussed in the game thread, so here's the rest of the non-con opponents' Week 1 results:

- Old Dominion beat Towson at home 57-54
- Dayton beat Ball State at home 78-77
- Clemson beat Western Carolina at home 85-57 and NC A&T 87-63 (both teams are supposed to be really, really bad)
- Ohio beat Alabama A&M (worst team in Division 1) at home 61-53
- Hofstra beat Army at home 77-74
- Air Force beat Texas State at home 65-57
- Western Kentucky lost at home to Missouri State 85-80
- Elon lost to Duke 97-68

- Temple's first game is at the Charleston Classic vs. Old Dominion
- North Texas plays at Nebraska tonight in their first game
- Green Bay starts the season at Northern Illinois tomorrow night for their first game

Well, they're not wrong. We had a losing record last year and the year before... so until we have another winning season, we're going to be considered a bad team.

Still a little premature at this stage in the 2017 early season (ISU had one game prior to IU) to label ANY NCAA squads as "bad." Seems that S.I. is simply "piling it on" IU & new coach Archie Miller by using unfounded statements like this.

Re: WKU/MO St., looks like 2nd yr. coach Rick Stansbury is in the thick of his "restoration" to the Hilltopper program:

Update on the non-con opponents:

- Air Force beat Canisius at home 93-79 (Canisius is projected to finish in the bottom half of the MAAC)

This is going to be a weird season for me. Hoping IU wins is foreign territory, sorta like rooting for the NE Patriotcheaters. Still, I hope IU wins ‘em all until we meet them in the NCAA tourney ;)
