I do not see Braulio Martinez listed on the roster. Did he decide not to return? He was looking pretty good in the spring game. This would really hurt our kicking game. Also I don't see any punters listed on the roster.

I am not so sure that he was "kicked" off the team... I know he is ineligible because of a failed drug test of a performance enhancing drug... That's not to say he wont be back next year. But as far as this year is concerned, no he will not be kicking for the Sycamores.
 
NO he bought something at GNC that he didn't think would be a big deal and he had a random drug test and failed it...When I played they told us not to even buy whey protein at wal-mart...There are so many things that are illegall in the NCAA that it is impossible to know every one of them...If you buy something we were suppose to give it to our athletic trainer first and let him research it....crazy...

At least this makes sense. On the other hand some kickers would do about anything to increase their average or range.

Statement #1 = Quite possibly True
Statement #2 = Heard from more than 1 person inside the program, or knowledge w/i the program
 
I heard from a reliable source also but either way the sad thing is that he won't be with us and the program doesn't need issues like this...If he made a mistake then forgive him and move on...if he was taking steroids then it serves him right...
 
I heard some stuff on this subject BUT I won't reveal it on a message board as it is Braulio's personal situation...

I understand your heart greenwell but if you are taking drugs and you are a part of the football program then it is no longer your own personal situation....His teammates are involved that were counting on him and he represents the whole program and the alumni....it is just part of sports..Now if he has a drug problem and is getting help then I wouldn't dare put it on public display...that is just how I think...I could be wrong..
 
He's not on the roster so he doesn't represent anyone at this point - look it is what it is, he failed a drug test. It really doesn't do us any good as a group to attempt to divulge into what the results of that drug test were or anything else...

Like what more do we really need to know? Nothing... End of story - someone else is going to handle the kicking duties and we move on.
