I remember being at an Indy gathering with ISU coaches and listening to Greg Lansing brag about our having 4 Indiana All-Stars on the squad, then watching us going through another mediocre season..................
Hummmm......................

Wonder if Englehart's name will be thrown around for the new Missouri State vacancy.
according to reports via Tom James he will be taking the UAB job. If salary is comparable to the previous coach, we wouldnt be able to offer the same number of digits.

Lots and lots of folks are mentioned for Valley awards. By the time you go a few deep at all positions on both sides of the ball plus special teams, it is inevitable that every them will have multiple mentions.

Just for fun I decided to play the FCS and CFP brackets on my old PS2 (NCAA '08). Basically the higher seed gets the home game, I flip a coin to see which team I start playing with, and then I switch teams at the end of each quarter / OT period.

Unfortunately only half of the current FCS field is on the game (it's 18 years old), so I only included teams that are on the game and the bracket is a little bit wacky because of it. However the bracket is the bracket and Stephen F Austin became the champion. Illinois State was the only team to make it to the Final 4 in my bracket that actually made it in real life, despite the fact that all four teams that actually made it are on the game (ILST, NOVA, MT, MTST).

On the FBS Side I'm not quite complete with it yet, but I am down to my Final 4 of IU, Oregon, Texas A&M, and the surprise Cinderella story of Tulane. Tulane is surprisingly kind of good on the game and I was able to complete a late 2 point conversion for the 18-17 upset win against Georgia. IU was the only team with a bye to survive their opening game. I'll post an update when the FBS side is decided.

Awesome football on today, but my radar is Montana and Montana State!! That should be a dandy!!
That was a great game. MSU's atmosphere today was elite, as expected, and UM did a great job to make it a game after falling down a lot early. MSU really took over once the 4th quarter started though. Probably theirs to lose in Nashville.

Illinois State is also up 21-6 at halftime on Villanova. Could still have a Big Sky vs Missouri Valley championship game.

Redbirds are the first FCS team to make the finals playing all 4 teams on the road. Very impressive!! Brock Spack should get some looks from bigger teams.

The Deadbirds will play for the title on his 64th birthday... Be surprising if he left Normal Bloomington
