Nice job Dad. Basketball is a cut sport right? Good luck to your daughter in making any teams where the coaches know about this high quality family "support".

did you watch that video? HILARIOUS!

"Did he hit a coach in the face?" Reporter

HILARIOUS!

You know the bad thing is this guy probably thought he was doing the right thing. When I coached quarterbacks at mount Vernon like clockwork every week on Thursday before practice and tuesday before practice I had a parent come in and talk to me about playing time. I always said "look it's not personal but I have only one guy on the field at a time and we weren't blowing anyone out...it's just logistics." at one time the parent yelled at me and I politely asked them to leave the premises. Parents are like refs, sometimes the hardest call for them to see is the one right in front of them...

The posse in the video is hilarious. The cousin or niece picking a fight with the reported was special. In youth sports when I coached (baseball and football) I would have a parent meeting before every season, and one of my main points that I wanted to make started with this question: Do you know what percentage of kids playing (little league, travel ball, youth football...) make it to the major league/NFL? And then I would ask them to put there ideas about playing time, positions, who's better than who...in perspective. I welcomed to talk to them about these things, but NEVER in front of the kids. I had a few come with comments/complaints, but not many. My favorite was the Dad who told me his son was going to play QB at our local high school. I told him his son was going to be a defensive end in HS, but made a deal that I would give him some practice time, and game time at QB if it "fit the situation" in turn for his son giving me the effort I was looking for at the other positions I played him. He was a defensive end in high school.
