Ole Miss plays LMU on Wednesday....wondering if they'll travel directly to Hawaii from Los Angeles. Probably, right?

That would be my guess.

Not sure what to make of Old Miss. They have not really played anybody this year, only one game away from home and they lost it to Middle Tenn. State.

Should be a good game.

Ole Miss homepage... http://www.olemisssports.com/sports/m-baskbl/ole-m-baskbl-body.html It shows their game scheduled against us.

Ole Miss Sport News. http://www.olemisssports.com/sports/m-baskbl/ole-m-baskbl-body.html I did not register to look inside this message board.

Ole Miss athletic news http://mississippi.scout.com/ If you go to their Men's Basketball Hot News, it doesn't show much about BB recruits but does show their Football recruits. A few 5 star rated, but mostly 3 and 4 Star rated, it also shows who is recruiting the same players. Big time college football. Just kind of interesting.

Is this a 2:00 AM ESPNU-TV game next Saturday morning (EST)? That's gonna be one helluva test on my Circadian rhythm...:hypnotized:

That's better...was looking @ the Ol' Miss website. Must be a "time warp" between IN & MS. Didn't ex-IU er Tom Abernathy's kid play G @ Ol' Miss a few yrs. ago?

Looking at their schedule, they haven't really played anybody and have lost their only road game. We may get beat by 20, but this team doesn't look as good as their record would indicate.

We are not going to get beat by 20 - I think we will play better than most expect. I personally expect us to play pretty lose. Probably going to be a good ball game.

This is an interesting matchup. We could win a close game or get beat by 10+. Depends on what ISU team shows up to play.

Well thanks Landrus, that rules out the only 2 other options. Us winning by a lot or them winning in a close one!

Spoken like a true Loosier fan, always something profound to say!

I think New Mexico beats Ole Miss 9 times out of 10. We can beat Ole Miss. Now, if we play like we played against Morehead State that's another story. This is an opportunity to take down some BCS competition. I'm expecting a close win.

For those that planned on watching on ESPN3, looks like it won't be available:

Solid green (Hawaii) is on ESPN U or ESPN3. Horizontal green lines is ESPN U and black is black out areas.

Ole Miss squeaks by LMU 73-70 tonight. Nick Williams (IU Transfer) had 13 points.

I watched the game on ESPNU, their career leading shot blocker Reginald Buckner loves the weakside block, he had 4 tonight. You better believe he'll be looking for more against us. He averages almost three per game.

Their leading scorer Marshall Henderson had 18 tonight, just over his 17.8 average and he was the national junior college player of the year last year. He was 4-9 from three point range.

They've got several guys at 6'9" and played a real physical game, had 12 offensive boards.

LMU had several chances at tying the score or taking the lead but could never get closer than being down by 1 point in the second half.

During the game, ISU got a quick mention as the announcers talked about Ole Miss playing the Diamond Head Classic. They specifically mentioned Jake Odum as one of the best guards in the country, mentioned his triple double last year.

We're gonna have to play real physical against them (if tonight was any type of indicator), I think rebounding is gonna be the factor. Those twelve offensive rebounds and getting second chance points might have been the deciding factor tonight as overall each team had 36 rebounds.

And we finally may get to play a team who's even worse than us at free throws, they average 64% at the stripe. We wanna put Murphy Holloway on the line, he shoots 47%.

They were definitely beatable tonight and I think between this game and playing us on Saturday and all the travel they're doing this week, I think fatigue could absolutely play into our favor.

Since this game was on ESPNU, I bet/hope the entire Sycamore team and coaches got together and watched this one tonight, pretty cool to get to watch your next opponent all together as a team - three days before you play them. Heck, in Hawaii, it would have started at 6pm.

It looked to me like they don't care to play defense for very long in a possession; just want to get a rebound and run and shoot. A little bit of in your face defense to take away the open looks and making them play defense for long periods on the other end could be just what the doctor ordered? Didn't look they cared to share the ball much either.
