Wichita State is better than us in almost every conceivable way. It's going to take Butler-like effort and execution if we have any hopes of keeping this game close, much less win it. Not trying to be negative...that's just the way it is.
We have the ability and players to beat them, but the team that played so well in Orlando and against Butler must show up. Based on how we played our last three games, I'm not holding my breath.

Well its the first time in a while that i feel that we have a chance against the shockers. Like many on here have stated already before, depends on what team shows up for us. We could win this game or lose by 30 and wouldn't be surprised by either outcome.
Agree.........we could win by 15 or lose by 15..........but I get the feeling we're going to end the drought on Wed. I get the sneaky suspicion that Neils is going to step up and play a big game for us in in an ISU win....3-4 from behind the arc....4-5 fg overall and 2 free throws for 13 points....

First off, Barnes has to be on the floor for that to happen. Second, Lansing has to continue to show confidence in Scott at the line and otherwise for this team to do anything this season so keep that in mind.

As a Shocker fan, this game scares me a bit. You guys have the best win of the season for the Valley by far. You have a good coach. WSU will be without Shaq Morris. All of those things scare me.

He's definitlely a load in the middle. Sadly, they've got a plethora of length to toss in the lane without him on the floor. The driving allies might be a little more exposed without him back there, but he's only on the floor about 17 minutes a game.
That said, every little advantage we can scrape out, the better! Perhaps we'll see more driving from the wings by Neils and...um....not really sure if any of our other bigs put it on the deck more than once per touch.....

Wichita 10.5 fav at the moment.
At some point, the players need to pull up their big boy britches and start fucking executing. That means making the smart pass, making the extra pass, taking the better shot, hitting the free throws, boxing out and rebounding and committing to playing defense.
I know I'm one that complains about rotations and subs a lot, but if you're given playing time, it's up to you to do the above during your 4 minute stretch or :30 stretch. Period. If you can't, feel free to transfer or become a traditional student and start focusing on life after basketball.

remember if you're not there the game is blacked out on ESPN3 in Indiana, and the Pacers are on Fox Sports midwest, our game is on Fox Sports Midwest +, which is channel 81 if you have Comcast/Xfinity for cable in central Indiana, so it will be on TV, just an alternate channel
