Can’t be any worse defensively than Mille has been for us. Just thinking. Personally I don’t see Miller or Wolfe giving us anything watching their play.

Yeah I like the thought process but he is pretty far down on the trust list from JS - clearly! We can discuss it all we want the kid ain’t close to seeing the floor based on what I’ve seen so far.

Sycamores shot 14-28 (50%) from the floor, 5-12 (41.7%) from 3, and 7-7 from the line. State had 22 rebounds (6 offensive), 5 assists to 9 turnovers, 3 steals and no blocks. Sycamores had 14 points in the paint.

Huskies shot 15-36 (41.7%) from the floor, 6-17 (35.3%) from 3, and 3-4 (75%) from the line. NIU had 14 rebounds (6 offensive), 3 assists to 4 turnovers, 5 steals and 3 blocks. Huskies had 16 points in the paint.

looking forward to seeing if schertz can coach the team into a 2nd half reset. Not happy with the 1st half but I’m not complaining about the lead, we aren’t going to play every team like we did SIU and Bradley.

We’re alright here. This is the matchup of most of expected and the matchup in the first half I desired. I’m glad to see us struggle a bit and play though it - I literally needed to see this. I’m as happy right now as I was vs SIU and Bradley at half. We played like dog shit and are leading at half.

Terrible start, but stayed with it and have the lead at halftime

This game is going to be a grind. They are long and athletic and if State is going to win this game they will have to just keep working. Need to cut down the turnovers. Only five assists in the half, not the norm.

Hoping for a better start to the second half than what we had at beginning of the game.

Gotta say, I'm pleasantly surprised what we're getting out of true freshman Vorst this year. Thought he played pretty well there. Turnovers cost us a bigger lead. I'd like to see Conwell penetrate more like that last play. Feels like he settles for the 3 too much. Swope is a stud.
