I'm guessing they got hit pretty hard Saturday on the Sycamores Bradley game... I'm not sure if you saw it on Twitter or not but I shared that parlay with a buddy (non ISU fan) that has a little more tolerance for risk than I do. He dropped a grand to pay $5,100 and it hit with 11 mins to go in the game after Swope hit that 3. Not that one $5,100 bet is going to hurt them but I think they'd rather not have got hammered on that game. I don't want to make it sound like "easy money" but when you follow InState as closely as most of us here - I think we have the upper hand on the book tbh.

I'm sure they got taken to the cleaners.

I've met a couple guys out here that do sports betting professionally and they have analytics setups that rival anything out there. It's not bizarre to walk through a sportsbook and see a group of guys with their laptops out and conferring together. Definitely has become a huge business.
 
Back to the game, I was going through NIU social media and this is the highest NET they've ever had in program history. They're pleading with fans to pack their arena tonight. They have $4.90 tix and $2 tix for those 18 and under.

A few things I noticed from last years game…Larry wasn’t even in the starting line up at that point last season and scored 2 (ain’t happening tonight), we shot 22% from 3 (we have proven better from deep this year) and they had a dude unconscious and go for 32 (Coit won’t have his right hand man with him this time).

Even though most of our roster wasn’t here for that game, I’m sure JS has told the rest all about and taken something from that film.
