Google ads are usually context or search focused. If you're in a thread that mentioned IU football, you could likely see one. Or, if you've recently searched for it on your computer, you could also see it.
 
Okay, I just clicked onto the main page and there it was. I was like are you kidding me, this on a Sycamore forum?

Then you or someone on your PC has likely searched for IU on your computer. I usually get ads for stuff I've been searching for on mine.

Huh? I don't follow IU football at all, just basketball. I couldn't tell you 3 things about IU football.

It's not that weird. Internet marketing and advertising is based on many variables and algorithms and things that are beyond me.

I just saw an ad on this site for the Universal Studios 3D King Kong attraction...I've never searched for King Kong (or universal studios) on my computer, but I live in LA and it's the type of entertainment that internet marketing guesses I'll be interested in.

IU football is college football...SycamorePride is a college-sports-focused website...you'll get stuff like that. It's not like Jason is programming the specific ads to appear or even getting paid for IU-specific sponsored ads...it's the internet, expect the unexpected.

Now if you'll excuse me I have water-skiing squirrels to watch on youtube.

What the heck is the deal with the IU banner advertising football tickets? Who allowed that to happen?

That is completely unacceptable and should be removed immediately.

It isnt chosen by the us it is google ads and please read the other posts because this issue had already been addressed.
