Not sure that bothers me too much. I wouldn't mind getting someone new in, someone with ideas that are new to our program.

Go ahead and cross Steve Englehart off your lists. Love it when this message board gets indirect love... I mean John Torres I'm sure your reading this - atleast go ahead and give us a plug if your going to go as far as mentioning our top 5 lists. :annoyed:

You never know...he might get the "Tubberville Itch" while fishing along the shores of the St. Johns River!

I do find it interesting how they refer to him being a hot coaching prospect. Nothing against Englehart but he hasn't even coached a game there yet. Let him produce a winning season there before you start worrying about teams luring him away. I can see us being interested given his experience here, but not sure how many others would be after him at this point.

My thoughts exactly...he might be a gem, but the diamond's yet to be cut!

It sounds like he is the one. Remember, Miles said he was out recruiting. I think they may all be liers. That's ok though, "Just win baby".

Ya, every denial should have a disclaimer that says something like "the facts herein are fictional and are not intended to have any similarity to any real situational facts current or past. Any resembelence to real facts is purely concidental and unintentional. Any real facts would not be given to any news media outlet until which time as it is decided by managment or myself to give those real facts. Void where prohibited by law."

Yes, saying he did not apply might be true, just like Miles saying he had no contact regarding the Western Mich. job was true. Of course he had contacted Georgia State, but what he said regarding the W. Mich. job presumably wasn't a lie.

Wouldn't it be a kick to FIT's ego's if he DID become ISU's HC? People down here don't think too highly of non-FL football. "Indiana State...isn't that where Booby Knight coached?" :dead:

BTW...just heard on Orlando TV that Brevard now has the highest foreclosure rate in FL, blaming it on the KSC layoffs. Now the time to buy, kinda like 1970.

It could also be said that he is saying it because he wasn't picked to be among the finalists. The "You can't fire me... I quit!" type of thing.
