Not saying we're a lock or anything. It's just nice to get the recognition. In case you all have missed it, we rarely show up on these lists - ever! :thinking:

I'm with you. It's a bonus to be mentioned this early. It means national pundits are taking notice and this is how you start building a rep.
 
The more I think about it....IF the field was selected today, and we didn't get in, it would be a HUGE snub. Our RPI and SOS is just too good. At this singular moment in time.

But we are 1-4 against the RPI top 50
- likely the biggest reason we have a respectable RPI is you've played 5 teams in the RPI top 50. 4 of them beat us. Our winning percentage only accounts for 25% of the formula. In other words - I think you have to be better than 1-4 against the teams that have helped you achieve such a solid RPI.

We have a kinda missouri state type schedule which scares me...

Got to beat cu and wsu at least once.. If we go another 0-3 vs the top 50 we won't have any shot at an at large.. But if we don't take care of business in the next handful of games we won't even be in the conversation so let's focus on getting a big win tomorrow night!
 
Too bad nobody pays attention to NBC Sports.

In any event, I'd love a rematch with New Mexico. Nice to be recognized, for once.
