Another thing that really puzzles me is how he stayed at LMU so long, has said ISU wasn’t his first D1 offer, and actually built a program. What he has just done here at ISU goes against everything he previously did and said.

We could match the offer if we cut football. So there's that.
They have to make the next hire FAST. We either need to promote Graves and move forward or bring in a splash hire so we can hit the trail to recruit. Noone will want to go somewhere when they dont even know who the coach will be. Please ISU, don't F this up.

Because the work doesn't magically stop when $chertz walks out the door. There are still players and support staff on campus that have needs.
Someone has to assume the leadership role and pilot the program until the next head coach is official.
Football aside. He wanted out. We gave him every reason to stay. He did not want to be in Terre Haute, nor Indiana State. You can only bend over so much. Kaizen - he continually grew his wallet.
