This is great. I was trying to load pictures and updates from the exhibition game to SP but didn't have good enough signal to upload.

The Nellie and John Wooden signatures were moved to the sideline by the scores table. Right where players check in to sub.

BT -

with all of the renovations to THE Hulman Center; did State display any/all of the memorabilia from Wooden's family? After he passed, the family distributed items to UCLA and his two alma maters (Ind State) and the big ten school

A more appropriate place for their names than on the court....even with that change, the Wooden's never earned to have their names placed...even at that location.

If ISU leadership wanted to name the court after a past basketball coach; it should have been DUANE KLUEH. He's the winningest coach in the history of Indiana State basketball, and has truly cared about ISU his whole life.

I was only able to make it back for one game last year and I don’t recall too many pieces of any thing set up, probably because it was so close to the end of the construction.

someone else who has attended this year would be better at answering this

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

1000% Agree. The sad part is that he's 96 years old now, so it will probably happen in about 10 years when he won't be there to see it. It disgusts me how inept ISU is, because he deserves it more than anyone else.

Not related to scoreboard but they are installing wireless (cellphone) signal boosters in the hulman center that should be available in about a week. Big improvement for anybody wanting to check scores/ post updates without trying to connect to wifi.
I had a buddy who was working on the installation crew and he said they finished installing last week. However, it wasn’t getting turned on/dialed in until this week. Might be on now or by the drake game. I guess we will see if phones start ringing inside the hulman center on Wednesday.

So by all accounts it looks like everyone loves the Hulman Center updates and it's a true top notch facility and one of the premier Mid-Major basketball only arenas in the country; we are damn lucky. While I haven't seen the updates in person it it looks fantastic on TV and in-game pictures look 1000x better than they did just 2 years ago.

With that being said, one thing about the Hulman Center that I've always wondered is, why do we only have 1 "championship" banner and then list individual dates on that banner as opposed to having an individual banner for each accomplishment? I've been to a lot of college arenas and typically broadcasts show banners at some point during the game. But it seems like EVERY college basketball arena gives each accomplishment an individual banner. Maybe I'm just nit picking and vast majority of people don't care, but this is something that has always stood out to me.

ISU doesn't have the $$ to afford individual banners

Didn't they let Golden into some archive where he stated tons and tons of old memorabilia was? My guess all that stuff is likely there.

That said, banners cost a couple hundred bucks. They have it.

Tabco and City Press are both ISU Athletics supporters, so if they want the banners they won’t have to look far.

I hadn’t really thought about it, but there is plenty of open space, so I agree we should hang all the banners we can. I wish we could get to the point where we’re discussing running out of space for championship banners!

It's just one of those things that I've noticed for a few years now. Is it the biggest deal in the world? no. But it would be a nice touch to an already great Hulman Center. One would think student athletes of both past and present teams would appreciate knowing they put a banner in the rafters, something they can show their families and friends for years to come.
