I was in Terre Haute over the weekend for the Indiana State Athletic Hall of Fame brunch on Saturday morning.....that evening, my fiancee and I went to dinner at the Chinese restaurant behind Honey Creek Square....the place was nearly empty when we got there around 6 p.m.....the restaurant offered a buffet meal beginning at 7 p.m.....you would have thought that they were giving away money...lol....the place was packed by 7:10 p.m....lol.....there was a line out the front door....lol....you couldn't get to the front desk to pay to leave...because of all the people surrounding the desk....lol...it was wild....I couldn't believe it.....lol....

so here is my plan....put up a sign outside Memorial Stadium stating that "Buffet Meals Available During The Game"....lol......

I'd say "Buffet meals available after you have watched the entire game and cheered for the Sycamores". By the way, how was the food?
 
new sycamore fan...the food was very, very good....

i'd give it four 1/2 stars on the five star tom james scale....lol.....the service was a bit slow....but that was because they were understaffed when the buffet meal horde came rushing into the place....lol......
 
I got a few points...

I have said this once and I will say it again, given the lack of success that the program has endured the last decade or more, since Trent has been here the attendance has been fair. I mean you have too look at the number of people who went and watch the disappointing Q game and amazingly enough many of those folks came back.

You want fans? I got an idea, win some freaking games... lol

No but seriously, if Trent continues to recuriut local kids and kids that are "good" kids then people will come. These transfers that he brings in also are a huge help, if you haven't noticed the last couple of years in hoops (Jake Kelly) and football that transfers create buzz and buzz is what brings people to the games.

I know that buffet thing must have been a joke, or maybe it wasn't. I aint going to no football game to eat some jank Sedexo buffet, I want to see good football - that's all I'm askin for!
 
morgan...it was a joke....ha ha....funny funny.....

boy...tough crowd in here....lol.....come on folks...loosen up a little....have a sense of humor.....lol....will ya???...lol....

i'll be here every night this week....and make sure that you tip the waitresses....lol.....

but in a slightly serious vein...we used to have local establishments......have cookouts at the stadium.....sort of a food fest.....gave people a chance to sample what different places had to offer....

we got wings and ribs tips tom, i dont need no buffet lol! I think the slogan should be "just win baby"
