I see that the ISU Board has an "Organizational Meeting" on June 15th next week. Anyone know where this will be held?

it is simply past time for this incompetent to go! She has been a total negative since her appointment. I've not heard a single positive comment on her tenure since her position was announced.

Speaking from experience showing up in numbers to meetings like this carries more weight and pressure than anything else done to this point (especially if there are news media there to report on it). They don't let you in because you're not on the agenda? Make sure there are media there and you have enough people present to demand attention. If they refuse to see you, and there are enough people there protesting, it will make the news.

I know there are some folks organizing locally. But you're 100% right.

That said, people need to keep the pressure on social media. You can bet that Indiana State hopes this moves out of the spotlight since most things like this have a 24-72 hour lifespan before squirrels move on to the next bright light.

You can model TH's FRANK MIKLOZEK back in '90 when he almost single-handedly chased BASF away, by simply placing 4 x 8 plywood signs @ highly (#'s) visible locations on the Vigo roads & highways.

Btw, before moving too fast, we need some fiscal #'s (short-long term) re: the ECONOMIC IMPACT of this TCU boondoggle upon ISU & TH/Vigo.

Mike Ellis posted a very concise post on Facebook on the situation with Curtis.

So now I am the idiot cutting and pasting without permission from a lawyer !!!

I’m fairly proud of my Business degree that I received from Indiana State 42 years ago. I believe I learned something useful about marketing and over the past 40 years as an attorney, I’ve utilized some of that knowledge. Perhaps you’ve heard or seen my commercials before.

As an attorney, I’ve spent these 40 years problem solving. I can’t think of any situation where we said, “We can’t do it!” Every situation is unique and if we run into something we haven’t dealt with before, we surround ourselves with more experienced individuals who might be able to help. Regardless, “We can’t do it!” is not in my vernacular! Sometimes there are things I choose not to do but that privilege comes with personal decisions and circumstances.

As a native of Terre Haute, as an alumni of ISU, I feel personally insulted that our President said we couldn’t host the baseball playoff games; that we had just come off two busy weekends; basically that we were too tired to host yet another weekend. And then, to use our 50 year relationship with one of the most important and beneficial events — Special Olympics — as an excuse is both embarrassing and humiliating to our community.

Perhaps if Deb Curtis actually lived in Terre Haute full-time rather than in Chicagoland, she would have a better feel for the pulse of our community.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a baseball fan; I’m not much of a fan of any sport. I attended my first ISU baseball games this past week to cheer them on. Why? Because I’m an alumnus, I’m a Hautean, I’m an ISU fan.

If the university was going great in all other aspects, perhaps she should get a pass. It is not.

Rather than find excuses, rather than blame others, she should offer her resignation immediately. We deserve better. We deserve someone who appreciates our community. We deserve someone who cares enough to not leave any stone unturned.

We don’t deserve this. The baseball team doesn’t deserve this. Our community doesn’t deserve this!!

Wow....thats pretty big coming from a guy with some pull in the area. I will admit, I have never been a big Mike Ellis fan, but I will applaud him on stepping out to make a public statement like this. Well said Mr. Ellis, well said!
