This has to be one of the most poorly officiated games I have ever seen. Poor calls going both ways. If this is the best the MVC can do officials wise, then we will never be considered an uppper tier conference. Horrible.

Just about game time and it appears to be a PATHETIC crowd. Can't be more than 1500 people there right now. I pray it is a very late arriving crowd, or this won't be much of a home court advantage.
You also have to remember the students were still on winter break which is a big part of the attendance factor!!! Great win!
Fantastic win tonight! Wish I had the time to catch it on SycVision. Gabe didn't start? Still lead the the team in scoring, which is great.

Let's just hope they don't struggle after this. We've seen them get off to fast starts in the MVC before only to go on losing streaks. Hopefully, McKenna can prevent that.
The biggest difference I see between this year and past years is that we are clearly getting better every game. Last year, by this time you could see the collapse coming. Not so this year. The team is "getting it" and looks more confident in themselves and their coaches. They are actually starting to get a little bit of that "swagger" back that has been gone for seven years. I just hope they don't get too much swagger!!! A chip on the shoulder is a great motivator!!!

I agree, the Sat. game is VERY important to make a statement that these guys mean business and are NOT going to collapse and head into a tailspin this season.

Found these posts whilst looking at redbirdfan...I like that we are mixing it up a but.:bigsmile: I guess a little insecurity is surfacing across the border.
"dam, the creighton loss kind of lessens the victory we got at their place...it still was a very good win, but i too would have liked to see them blow out indiana state"
"I would of liked to see Creighton come out and demolish Indiana State and secure our "good win" but it doesn't look to be shaping up that way."
Now trying to make excuses to lessen our win and elevate theirs...
"I'm not sure what impact it might have had on the outcome or the manner in which the game was played, but there might not be any team better prepared to play Creighton (from a game plan perspective, not necessarily a talent perspective) than Indiana State. Remember.....new Sycamores' coach Kevin McKenna spent nine years as an assistant to Dana Altman."
