Prior to yesterday's matchups, our SOS was at #136 and Evansville was at #225. Our early RPIs were very close to each other.

They did beat Butler, but that game is the outlier. Their other wins have come against Oakland, Texas-San Antonio, Maryland-Eastern Shore, Middle Tennessee and Norfolk State. Their losses have come against Indiana, Middle Tennessee, Air Force, North Carolina and Wichita State.

i think u got an error in there or they played middle Tennessee twice and split the games.

And Evansvilles win against Oakland is also a gold star for them. Oakland recently beat ranked Tennessee and came within a whisker of beating Michigan State.

It will interesting to see which Evansville team shows up.....and for that matter....it will interesting to see which ISU team shows up. The one that flopped at Wyoming or the one that played Purdue even-steven for 31 minutes.

This is what I am more interested in, although admittedly I have put the loss at Wyoming out of my head as a fan. Not something a want to remember or continue to dwell on. I think the team has done enough since that loss to prove to me (at least) that is now who they are. We are a better team than that and I don't expect for that to happen again this year. Someone said to me on here a few weeks back that he hopes that the Sycamores never forget that loss vs. Wyoming. But I think with college basketball as with many things in sports you have to have a short memory. These guys are good enough and professional enough to go out and take care of business, they don't need to remember losses at Wyoming to preform. Maybe I missed the point, but I am not one to dwell on something that has happened over a month ago. Time to move forward for me...

If the Sycamores team that showed up last night shows up in Evansville on Saturday then the Sycamores will win that game, no doubt in my mind. This team is going to try and win the Valley, that is their goal. I am excited about what this Mo Val season could bring! :sycamores:

Pretty important game if you ask me...if the Syc's want to be an upper tier Valley team they need to win games like this on the road. I will be interested in seeing what the point spread is...considering what's gone on so far this season w/ both teams my guess is somewhere near a pick 'em due to E-ville's home court.

The Wyoming game is the outlier on our season. I would imagine we could play them 9 more times this season and if we lost to them, it certainly wouldn't be by 30. Back to Evansville, I think we matchup very favorably against them.

Was looking through my tv guide and we play on Fox Sports Midwest tomm night? Dont know that this game is worth televising for the station but im sure happy it is!

This won't be an easy game as I originally thought--Evansville playing pretty good at this time.

Didn't they just get beat by about 20 or so in the Mo Val opener? I don't know if I would use the word "easy" for any road game in the Mo Val or all of college basketball for that matter. But I think that the Sycamores should win this game, if we are going to compete for a conference title we have to win this game.

Actually a 34 point road loss at WSU. I'm sure they will be out to prove they aren't really that bad. Hope the Trees show them that they are really that bad!

Yes, you are right, it's part of that MVC televison package. I will be watching.

ISU wins by 7-10.

Ditto...Road wins for The Trees in the MVC have been few, and far between for too long. Our abysmal road record in the MVC may only be out done by Evansville's and Drake's....

I don't know if our 24 game losing streak at Southern Illinois is a MVC record, but it might be. 24 games in a row...it's almost too bewildering to think about. It's like, does it really take 24 years to lose 24 games in a row on someone elses home-court?:o

Thank goodness for Tyson Schnicter that night, or we might be looking at 28 game, or 28 year losing streak at SIU.

If we've had an achilles heel for years, losing on the road has been it....and you know what...IT HAS TO STOP THIS YEAR!!!:sycamores:
