More and more “Indiana” clothing is popping up inside Hulman Center, but many tell us, IU’s success is good for the “state”. Their success is good for IU and IU only. Our lack of success gives a better reason to look elsewhere on game day.

We are lucky to have 4K+ right now.

I said this on here the other day and people thought I was crazy… Indiana winning at the level they did is a terrible thing for Indiana State. It goes way beyond this basketball team being absolutely dreadful.

You're right. The number of ISU alums in my social media feeds posting pics in IU gear the last 5 months has been very annoying. A few dropped what had to have been 10-20k to go Miami (and some even more going Pasadena/Atlanta) but haven't donated anything to ISU.

It's a free country and they can do what they want with their money but it is infuriating to see for sure.

I complained to someone on the floor about the ribbon flashing blue and white during the timeouts. My complaint was that you can’t look at the stats. He told me it’s available on the screen below the scoreboard. I let him know that’s nice for the people in the first 2 rows.

I think complaining about the product on the floor is probably more important than the scoreboard that says we are losing - that’s what I would have told you, wait that’s what I just now told you…

Is it just me or do we set the worst screens ever, they never seem to do anything. Or are we just really bad at using them?

It’s not a simple answer…

- It’s scouted against very heavily and given that we don’t mix much up they are well prepared ahead of time. I mean, if they wanted to try and execute offense that was against the scout they’d go away from it completely which opens Pandora’s box to them not having any other way to generate offense.

- We lost this off-season our best screen and roll post player to the portal. It’s the same offense with a less talented player(s) trying to execute. I should add in this offense they are more reliant on the roll element because they don’t have any good passing 5’s which are rare finds in this day and age. So it’s more roll dominant if you will.

- Our 3 point shooting or lack of doesn’t help - we run ball screen action and help side defenders mostly staying home because we are not a threat to dive, they can go under or trail the ball handler for that matter because we are not a threat to shoot, they can sag and just sorta drag out the defense to the point everything is so jammed the fuck up we can’t do anything.

- Our ball handlers are not great passers or athletic enough to get to the rim. Hall is too small, Young is too slow and Jo is too small, not quick and a horrendous decision maker.

- Good guard play typically makes the pick and roll offense work and we have some of the worst guard play in the country.

- We don’t have great bigs for the pick and roll offense. Harding 1.0 is a soft, a better pick and pop 5 than a pick and roll 5, Vorst is clumsy and has average hands - he’s our best in the pick and roll but can’t stay healthy, Scott is too small to be a threat in pick and roll defense for a variety of reasons and Enel is too one delusional to be a good player on pick and roll. It’s worth mentioning Scott and especially Enel are not good free throw shooters - lot of fouls happening in screen and roll scenarios and the two players running that offense most frequent you guessed it.

What more analysis you want? Coulda asked AI but why bother when I’m here.

Camp is awful, who cares if he leaves. Question, is Graves too nice? He is a very nice guy, but maybe to nice? We need to clean house, bring is a hungry young or older coach that sees this place as an opportunity to win!

U might be right about HCMG, but I'm sure he'll coach his final contract year next season. As others have already said, short of an Arch Madness run this season, he'll need a 20+ win season in 2026-2027. Still rooting for him.

If a change of coach is unfortunately needed in 1.5 seasons, then ISU will have a quality Prez & AD that are on the same page. Will be a healthier environment to hire a coach from, but not thinking much about it, at least not until another 12 months.

Oh, c'mon... Camp is not awful. His issue is he is not cut out to be relied upon to be a #1 scoring option. Teams essentially go into games selling out defending him knowing if they stop his ability to get 15, we do not have anyone else that can make up that difference.

If he was on a roster that had a couple capable scorers where he could get open looks off of their actions, he'd be perfectly fine. But alas, he's stuck on a roster of mismatched pieces.
