I've never claimed to be an expert, but I'll humbly go on record with this: Last year I wanted Lathan to be the last man off the bench. This year, he is the only guy on the team I trust. FWIW...

whew, that's all I can say. if if if we can beat D+ Weds. then we have ourselves a new season

Hard nosed win. The guys stepped it up when it wasn't looking too good. I must say, Eville is well schooled in "the flop". Congrats for a TEAM win

The better team won tonight. The officials tried to give the floppers the win.

EU gets another moral victory.

That was the Sycamore team that I waited for with anticipation over the off season to see. The one with the "refuse to lose team attitude". Now that they have found their way they need to strive to maintain that level to get this season back on track and make a run for the roses at the end.

Great job tonight guys. That's the kind of effort I was expecting every night this year. We could have lost a couple of times, but in spite of their awesome free throw shooting and a few shaky calls we were tough enough to hang on. Let's hope this is the norm the rest of the year; another magical St. Louis run not impossible with this kind of effort.

A lot of negativity here on pages 5-8. It seemed a little brutal at times. It was good to see some forgiveness a little later in the thread.

Got a little rough on Richard, I thought, but much of the overall criticism was warranted. Great win and I'm proud of the guys, but there is no denying we gave up a nice half time lead.

SP you had some pretty shaky play mixed in during those pages. You blow a 14 point lead and come out a little flat in the second half it's going to get brutal. Especially when a team plays the way it did in the first half. I don't think anyone expected the Sycamores to shoot 60 plus percent for the game - what we did expect was solid bust ass effort the entire 40 and we had a few lapses. It's true much of it was directed at Richard from me - my thoughts on the game explained why. He has been around long enough that he shouldn't have up and down efforts like he had tonight - he is too good of a player to play the way he did tonight (at times).

I haven't said this yet this year (many on here have) and I am finally going to say it because I am sold on it. We don't do a good job putting people away, it has been a problem for us all season - you gotta step on the throat of some teams or you will get beat and more often than not we have been beat this season when we don't take advantage of leads. Minn. comes to mind.

True on Richard. Another one of the guys was not a D1 player IIRC. Great win! Giving up a big lead sucked. Play in the second OT compensated for a shaky 2nd half. Very proud of the guys tonight. Many opportunities to fold and go home in the last few minutes and in OT's--never happened. Some good shooters who have been struggling hit some big shots--confidence builders I would think.

Shaky play--way too much of that. We need to remember what the Aces did at Wichita. They were down 25 and almost won. One thing that was big was Ryan not scoring in the OT like most fans would have expected him to. At least for tonight we found our "go to" guy. DL was very good.
