The JSW Level
ISU football finishes offseason workouts

Rick Semmler
TERRE HAUTE, Ind.(WTHI) - Wednesday marked the last day of offseason workouts for the Indiana State football team. The Sycamores capped it off with a new tradition in the program called MADMAN.

In just its third year MADMAN is a grueling eight hour workout. The ISU team is divided up into four groups of 12. Each of the four groups faced several difficult task, a wall climb, a three quarter mile run, while carrying 50 pound sandbags and 100 pound heavybags. A Farmers Carry, with two individual weights, weighing 200 pounds apiece, a 450 pound tire flip. Canoe races, intended to teach the guys teamwork and endurance and a pond run. Which is running through shin deep water that is like quicksand.

That is a great story... Time to start getting all the tailgating gear together and checking the propane situation, etc.. Can't wait. Very good story by WTHI... good camera work, editing and music... nicely done.

That is great stuff. I am Psyched to see that effort and spirit. The
by-product of their work will show up on the field. Go Sycamores.

This has me JACKED for this season. I really think we are going to see someyhing special this season. The goal for these players this year isn't just to make the playoffs, it is to win this conference. They may just be the best conditioned group in the MVFC.

Dang...if you can do any workout for eight hours straight...it really makes you mentally tough....good story..

I'm hearing there was a 420lb bench and 600lb squat yesterday. Was all over Twitter. These guys have definitely put the work in this Summer. Lots to be proud about.

Very impressive. These young men deserve big time support from the Wabash Valley and area ISU alumni especially.

GO SYCAMORES!!
