PRINCETON, N.J. – The Indiana State Sycamores have accepted an invitation to play in the Discount Tire College Basketball Invitational which takes place March 18-22, 2023 at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Sycamores earned the top seed and will face No. 16 seed USC Upstate in the first round Saturday, March 18 at 11 a.m. ET.

Glad to see we accepted an invite. After seeing the NIT bracket, I almost think I'd rather be in the CBI than get shipped off to some P5. It's bad enough that they've pretty much ruined the NCAA Tournament and now they've done the same thing to the NIT too.

Any word on if our (hopefully) games will be broadcast on the radio?

Only IU & PU still playing along with USI where we are going the only Indiana teams still alive anywhere.
There are 353 D1 teams ...... only 68 + 32 +16 still get to play on for something ...... WE ARE ONE OF THEM! ........... enjoy ......

This is excellent, I expected us to play in the CBI but I certainly didn't expect us to be the #1 seed. Also, love that none of the games are on campus sites and that it's a five-day tourney. It's just an extended MTE, and I'm totally ok with it! Let's win this thing!

Assuming we win the 1st game, that 2nd game will be tough, I've seen both EKU and CSU play and I'm thinking either team will be a tough match up for us

Obviously SJSU has made a turnaround. I remember playing them a few years ago at their place and they were one of the worst Div 1 programs in the nation. Not sure how they did it but kudos to them for turning their program around.
