both the men and women were picked to finish 2nd (but should challenge for the wins) at this weekend's indoor MVC track championships at UNI. If any of you all are going let me know, I'll be at the meet too.

Freshman Jeremiah Vaughan was also named track athlete of the week for his win in the 1000 meter run at EIU Friday night.

quickly reviewing the MVC indoor championships from an ISU perspective:

pretty good meet for ISU, 7 individual champions in 8 events. Hutson was also named co-field outstanding athlete of the meet. The women had some setbacks on Saturday, otherwise would have been 3rd or possibly 2nd in the team standings. All in all a pretty good meet to attend. UNI's men were too tough at the middle distance and field events.

Great Stuff Here! Thanks so much for posting all of this! Looking forward to MVC Outdoor Conf. to be hosted by Indiana State. Should be interesting to see if Indiana State can return the favor to Northern Iowa outdoors this time on our turf or track if you will.

I believe Northern Iowa was ranked 13th in the nation coming into the MVC meet. Not to mention they have several All Americans on their roster along with a defending national champion in the 800 meters (Tyler Mulder).
