I need a HELOC after all the money I lost on ISU today at -6.5. FML.
I was going to bet Illinois but the spread was ridiculous. Utah fucked me last night. Won ND game, and bet back on Tuesday 2.5 LSU over Ole Miss. Spread went up to 3.5. Have Ohio State, and K-State as well.

We won two out of the three home games we should have been expected to win. Can we go a step further by beating SIU or ISU red at home?

I was gonna parlay that and over 46.5 but DraftKings wouldn’t let me and I may or may not have been driving so I didn’t wanna have to deposit in a different app

I think we at least have a chance in the rest of our home games. SIU hasn't looked all that great so far this season. Illinois State seems average. We took North Dakota to overtime at their place last season. I'll also throw Northern Iowa in there as a wild card even though it's the very last game at their place, but I think UNI has looked pretty trash so far tbh.

Congrats to the team and staff for a hard-fought win.

Mallory now stands 6th on the "All-time Wins" (22-51 .301) chart for the Sycamores, trails Tim McGuire (24-55 .304) by two wins... outside chance of catching McGuire, virtually zero chance of catching Bill Jones (32-37 .464) for 4th place

Side note - with Southwest Missouri State quitting the MVFC... is next weeks game considered a conference game? SWMSt isn't eligible for the 2024 playoffs, are they eligible for the MVFC title?

It appears the answer to those questions regarding the MVFC are yes and it reads as if the reason for that might be because Missouri State is still at 63 scholarships this season.

SSOM. Did you enjoy the game?

I stayed for about half - all I could manage with the little guy. Of course, have always enjoyed going to ISU football games. Stopped by a couple tailgates, stopped into the Varsity Club. My parents and sister’s family go to about every home game so sat with them. It was a nice day - thanks for asking.

Over 400 yards of offense by both teams. It was a very entertaining (and at times painful) game to watch. Both teams were desperate to win what each saw as a 'winnable game'. It was hard not to enjoy a beautiful, sunny day with very mild breezes. Being a season ticket holder and varsity club member remains one of sport's best values for ISU football. Alternatively, I could have paid over $100/ticket, driven 3.5 hours each way to South Bend and watched Notre Dame demolish an overmatched Stanford team. I think I made the better choice once again.

Getting a chance to watch Elijah Owens battle the defense and lead his team is worth the price of admission. It may not be a victory, but there is a chance something good will happen when the ball is in his hands. And the MSU QB was throwing on target bullets as well.

And watching that comical refereeing crew was almost painful. So many missed calls and bad calls!!. It is hard to pick out a favorite, but when ISU punted and MSU had a perimeter player called for unnecessary roughness and then unsportsmanlike conduct that play won my award. First the referee got it right, but the official marking the penalty began marking the yardage off against ISU. Then the Referee "corrects" the call saying the penalty was on ISU, but has the official mark off the penalty against Murray State. Then they get together and talk for a minute before finally getting it right. I guess I should give them credit for working on it until it was correctly handled.

And I didn't like the 'interference with the right to make a fair catch call' against ISU. The receiver was on about the 8 and the ball landed over his head on the 4-5 yard line. At the last minute, he runs forward into the coverage players probably to make sure the ball doesn't bounce backwards and hit him. I just don't see how the coverage players can be flagged for interfering with the right to make a fair catch when the punt returner is running into them to get away from the ball. My son who is a HS Referee is looking up the HS rules for that one.

Ive walked off a penalty the wrong way before. You get pretty good audible feedback real quick.

As far as the fair catch, I don’t think you can touch that returner like Wise that returner is not allowed to block anybody so it is likely the right call in the NCAA
