WANTED: Passionate Sycamore Fanatics. That You?

I signed up but could you please refer to Indiana State and Illinois State as Indiana State and Illinois State

I totally understand people using blue and red but if you're going to be writing a blog use State for each school. Non MVC fans reading that won't know what blue and red mean

I try to find different ways to say the teams throughout the pieces. I feel like if I say the same thing over and over again it gets a bit stale. But I hear what you are saying. Good feedback.

Not to nitpick, but you say Norris from Loyola leads the league in APG at 4.4, but Bledson leads the league at 4.7.
Thanks for the feedback. He most likely led at the time I wrote his blurb. I write them over several days and so the stats get mixed up a bit sometimes. Real life gets in the way unfortunately.

My latest article features my take on the top ten seniors/fourth-year players in the league. But there are actually 21 guys featured total including five honorable mentions and six Belmont/Murray/UIC guys who would be in the top ten if they were in the MVC. Enjoy! Or don't!

Henry and Neese can be found on this list.

UIC's head men's basketball coach Luke Yaklich took the time to answer a few of my questions about the Flames' move to the Valley. Check it out below. It is a quick read!

I spoke to a fan of each of the incoming schools to get the dirt on why we should be excited their school is joining the league next year. Here is part one focusing on Murray State, featuring @RacerJoeD.

I spoke to a fan of each of the incoming schools to get the dirt on why we should be excited their school is joining the league next year. Here is part two focusing on UIC, featuring UICJohn and Govey23.

Today I posted the last of my three-part series covering each of the incoming schools from their fans' perspective. Belmont is featured, as two Bruins fans tell all.

My next project will be updated power rankings, which I haven't done in over two weeks. You can also follow me on Twitter @BeatMVC if you're so inclined.

With one week and 13 games left to play, I have another set of power rankings for you (freshly published). Assist to Matt Hackman as his probability charts are referenced repeatedly.

Inspired by the guys at MarchArchPod, I took a dive into the depths of MVC mediocrity in an attempt to dig up the single worst Valley basketball team this millennium. What was my conclusion? Click below, dear reader, to find out.

My Arch Madness post mortem with a recap on how the incoming newbies did in their league tournaments, thoughts on MVC postseason destinations, and a look at this weekend's Hoops in the Heartland women's MVC tourney.

My latest article compares the MVC basketball programs from 2001-2022 over several different metrics. I attempt to answer the question of who has been the best program in the league this millennium.

I put together a quick preview featuring all 13 MVC related games in the various men's and women's postseason tournaments featuring a handy list of when and where to watch them at the bottom.

As we start the most exciting time of the year, I thought it would be a good time to start talking about NEXT year for some reason. What would the MVC look like next season if EVERYONE came back? Read on to find out.

MVCBeat…

I’m surprised you don’t consider losing Tyreke Key to the transfer portal as a “key loss”. I’m even more surprised that you didn’t even mention the name Tyreke Key in your synopsis.
