TreeTop approves....if it's a bridge and not a tunnel.
They just need to make an intersection ("double teardrop roundabout") like they have along the Keystone corridor in Carmel with a roundabout while the road runs under it. My guess is the issue would be lost parking and the businesses right along that street but IMO this is the way to go.
That would probably take out more than just a gas station though. Probably take out the bowling ally, ISU Federal Credit Union and perhaps auto parts store just to get a project of that magnitude done. Would look nice - but doubt it ever happens like that that. Going to be a simple pedestrian overpass. Will be a much cheaper solution to the problem.
They have smaller ones that may be feasible. This is another one of those things that they should do it for the long term, not to just slap a pedestrian walkway over it.
Agreed and I get it. I think BankShots thinking is similar to mine - we aint gonna get any funding assistance for that shish.

They need to find a way to weasel this into State appropriations somehow.
How do you spell B-o-b H-e-a-t-o-n? He's a Republican, and Senate Appropriations is controlled by them. As Majority Whip, he was involved in the 50% Hulman Center financing deal worth $37.5m.
