I voted for Bashir only because the defense needed more help than the offense. Not sure if LB is where we needed it, though...

My vote is for the guy left off the ballot.....

long snapper Josh Keyt, the kid from North Putnam High School and IU. ISU has needed a dependable long snapper for quite a while. Josh may be the one. We've seen far too many errant snaps on punt attempts, field goal and extra point attempts in recent years.

I like Izbicki for the simple reason that I don't think we are very deep at TE. Jones is great, but Izbicki is pretty stout and a great blocker from what I hear for our run game. I think if you look at depth past Jones, it's the weakest spot. All of our FBS guys serve a purpose though. QB to compete for a starting job next year. Linebacker to add depth and a rush. Long snapper to make sure we get kicks right. Receiver to give Ronnie another great target and open up Hilton. and Izbicki to add a double TE set that can hurt you in more ways than one. Very strategic!

I have to vote for Josh Keyt also. Having been exposed to the kicking game the past few years, granted at the high school level, I have truly learned about how true the phrase " good snap, good hold, good kick " is. Without the first two, the third is a lot harder to achieve. And with punting, a good snap is vital to a good punt. I'm very excited to see that ISU is invested in all aspects of the kicking game, and can't wait for the season to begin!!!!

I agree with everyone above....but imma have to say spencer....big strong fast kid...great routes and block great.....and a deep threat...some of our mvc foes have a weak secondary...what will they do with ...hilton, jones, spencer, egberongbe healthy, riston, riley.....this kid will also give teams the blues...and so will hilton....

I actually voted for Spencer because I think with his addition we have the best wide receiving corps in the valley...no more doubling Hilton and now the out of the backfield throws to bell should be very auxcessful

Fouch and Hilton already have a connection which might limit the immediate impact of Spencer - unless he becomes our new new Kent right off the bat. The TE transfer could have a big impact as a blocker. That will be his biggest contribution based on what I've read.

Spencer is a bigger, stronger and maybe even faster version of Kent. He is an elite level FCS talent. I think this will actually help spencer for the first couple of games and then help Hilton once MVFC schools decide "Hey that spencer kid is kinda good maybe we shouldnt double team hilton all day..."

Gotta go Spencer kid - he has the best player on the team throwing him the ball, thus his opportunity to have the biggest impact will be magnified. He's going to have the ball thrown to him with regularity and should make a big impact on our ability to move the ball through the air. Easy question for me.

I went with Izbicki. He adds another threat to already potent offense. He will need to contribute to open up Hilton and Spencer, and he will need to block very well. It'd be nice if he could end up being our version of Dallas Clark.

Alex Jones is the best receiving tight-end we have...Izbicki will likely be a major blocking factor in two tight-end sets...
