Since I ran out of tin foil hats I thought I would toss names out.

I will nominate Robert Heaton. (not the drummer)

Mr. Heaton is a ISU Grad, business man and current State Representative. He already has respect in not just the community but at the State level and may be able to aid in helping find some cash. I realize he will not be popular with left leaners, but he will get things done.

Absolutely not. Sincerely a conservative who not only knows Bob personally, was friends with his son growing up who passed away several years ago, has voted for Bob in every election, has leased hunting land from him on a couple different occasions. No. No and No. That is not the answer at all.

I nominate Dotti King. An alum. President experience as the 16th President of SMWC. Local knowledge. Great success stories at SWMC in enrollment, fundraising, facility enhancements and athletics. A sports fan herself. Very well spoken and well respected in the community. Political views unknown but defiantly not woke like current administration.

I know he'll have difficulty because of his ties to Curtis as her Provost but Chris Olsen would be really, really good. He's been at ISU a long time (way before Curtis), raised his family in Terre Haute, is passionate about the University, and one-on-one is about as down to earth as you'll find in academia. When you talk with him he'll talk about the political intricacies that led to the Civil War then move right on to whiskey and grilling out. Awesome guy.

Frankly if ISU doesn't win this series and Curtis resigns (her contract says if she's fired she gets 6 months notice so she'll be around a while if she's fired) and they need a leader Olsen is the one--be in interim or permanent or both.

Time to bring in some experience at the president level as well as some pull at the state and federal level. Even as an intrim to clean things up, Mitchel Elias Daniels JR. would be a great fit. In seriousness, I honestly think we better prepare for many more years of Debbie does ISU as bad as that may sound. She has the insulation with the current BOT to stay here as long as she wants. Just a reality check,

Why would we even consider someone who has stayed to work with this "woman?"

Damn! That is a great name to throw in.

The most important thing for whoever would be next is their vision for Indiana State.

It is painfully obvious the path we've been following for the last decade is not going to work.
