Half time for the early games. Colts and Bears both down although both came back from 13-0 and 13-3 deficits.

Not to panic. The Texans played today like it was their super bowl (and played VERY well and they were long overdue for a win against us too). I predicted a loss today so I am not in panic mode yet. LOTS of work to do for the Colts, no doubt. O-Line scares me the most~

Bears ended up winning. Hate the rule, but have seen multiple teams get hit with that now. Raiders on monday night last year. Anyhow, I'll take it. 1-0 and against a conference foe.

Colts defense looked terrible. It's the same problems every year for them, only sometimes they're more glaring. Polian gets so much credit for his good moves, but little notice for failing to improve the oline he called out after the SB, failing to improve the run D and having three drafts in a row now that seem to have been rather mediocre if not below average.

Not too worried yet either because like you said Houston was due to beat the Colts but my major concern was with how Houston ran the ball down our throat. Arian Foster is a good back but the Texans just handed the ball off and said stop us if you can and we couldn't stop the run. They ran for over 250 yards. While Peyton was pressured numerous times I hate seeing the D getting ran over like that in the 1st game of the year. But granted the only other year that the Texans beat the Colts, the Colts ended up winning the Super Bowl so maybe it could be a good sign.

Never a good sign to lose atlhough i heard the same stat and it is the first week of the season. The colts just looked terrible and the bears are terrible!

The Colts did look terrible. The Lions have got to be the most snake bit team in the league. How many times do they have a lead late in the game and lose?

I guess if your quarterback throws for 430+ yards with 3 TD's and looks terrible doing it, you don't have many problems. I mean don't get me wrong the O line looked awful as did the run D but every year its the same thing for the colts and every year they win 12+ games and go to the playoffs.

Colts defense and offesive line was awful today. Garcon dropped several passes. Lots of areas for improvement but it is just week 1, at least there won't be any undefeated season drama..lol

Bears got lucky. The call was right as far as the rules go but it the rules need changed, that was a TD all the way

To Colts: Terre Haute doesn't want you losers back!

Yeah but.... That team on the field today was not a playoff team, I don't care who you have playing QB, that team out on the field today will not make the playoffs.

If it turns out that Bob Sanders is going to be out for more than 2 or 3 games I say it's time to let him go. A year ago I wouldn't have said that, I love to watch Bob Sanders play the game of football, but he simply plays to hard and his injury concerns are to great at this point. With that cap room freed up you could have a better O-Line or give freakin Reggie Wayne his money.

On that note - you might want to consider paying Reggie Wayne - he is far and away the most reliable target in the Colts O. Gonzo = Injury prone and he got hurt again today. Collie = soft, how big was his fumble today? Huge! Garcon = Hit or miss, today he was miss more than he was hit. For gosh sakes, pay Reggie Wayne the money he deserves, he aint the 14th best receiver in the league so don't pay him like he is.

O-Line - Can someone call Tarik Glenn tonight and ask him to come out of retirement? I mean the guy is about 34 or 35 years old now but I'd be dammed if he couldn't play tackle better than what we are working with now. Let me ask you something? How do you not surround the most valuable player in the game with a better O-Line than that? Baffles me... We can't run the ball because we don't have a line that allows us to run the ball.

Coach Caldwell - you suck, I have never been a fan of yours.

I blame all of this on Anderson, Indiana - it's that simple. If you guys would have got your Homeys BBQ fix this summer this wouldn't have happened. Sorry bought your luck, better luck next decade.

Stirring it up again, Morgan. They will be fine. Mark my words~ FYI, I predicted the loss today and also predict they will not make it to 12 WINS and STILL win the AFC South. We'll see who is correct. A lot of good teams lost today. The world will awake tomorrow~

The Bears actually played really well in stretches and certain phases of the game. The problem with them still relies on the fact that they haven't addressed the offensive line and wide receiver issues. The second problem is by the time they do that, the defense will be aged and they'll be screwed on that side of the ball.

One thing is for certain, Lovie Smith is a horrible game coach and needs to go.

A couple more tidbits.....

Bob Sanders days are through in Indy after this season. The guy is a beast when he's actualy on the field but he's not worth the $$$ we have tied up in him to be injured every season.

Even though the Bears were "given" one by the rule book Lovie Smith just be catching hell this week for his decsionn to go for it on 4th & Goal with like 4 minutes to go and trailing by only a point. His bonehead move should have cost the Bears the game.

Morgan, you cannot seriously think that by the Colts losing the first game of the season they will not make the playoffs. You said this is not a playoff team, but they really have not lost a whole lot from last year. They can easily turn it around and they will be fine, just like every other year.

Lol all I have to say is...the Colts and the Rams have the same record I almost thought we ( the Rams) were going to win yesterday.... Bradford reminds me of a rookie Peyton!
