Not making an excuse for our loss but I feel like there have been some wild results across the board this early CBB season. Don't know if it has to with all the teams learning how to gel or just not great scouting reports early on. But I've seen multiple teams lose by 20+ then turn around and run someone out of the gym 4 nights later that was of similar quality.
I agree. Plus it’s still too early to determine how good SIU-E will be.

As of today, there are seven teams in the OVC with a KenPom of 300 or worse. And two more in the 290s. SIUE is at 263.

No matter how good/bad they are, no way they're getting out of the 200s with that many terrible opponents, just no where to go for them.

By contrast, we have one D1 win and we're at 215. We have lots of teams in the MVC that, if we beat them, will improve our KenPom ranking.

My point is...SIUE will be a bad loss for us all season.

So you're saying this could really damage our seeding by the selection committee in March?
