Sycamores 56.7% (17-30) from the floor, 46.2% (6-13) from 3, 75% (3-4) from the line. Sycamores with 20 boards (2 offensive), 10 assists, 4 steals, 0 blocks and 3 turnovers.

ODU shot 21.4% (6-28) from the floor, 30% (3-10) from 3 and 50% (1-2) from the line. ODU with 15 boards (4 offensive), 4 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks and 8 turnovers.

I am with you on this one, Jason. We are still really early in this new system and I think our defense still needs to improve drastically to help balance when the outside shots arent falling. But i have lots of confidence in our ability to score points, or atleast for our offense to run successfully. The only reason we scored so low against purdue was the inabilty to score over a giant. The offense got us good looks near the basket, but Edey and Williams helped erase many of those good looks. So long story short.....go big on the over!!

I scoffed at his athletic ability? He’s starting to play the way I thought he could. I think his assists and drives will increase. Finding drive openings in D1 is a learned skill.
 
Will be interesting to see ODU's game plan coming out of the half. They tried to establish post and it didn't work but that is also where their most skilled players sit. If they continue to force it, they'll also need a huge effort if they just go the 2s route. IMO, don't help down and let them just hit those 2s. All we need to do is match 2-for-2 then.

I feel like they’ve got a run in them. We will likely not get every call in the second half. We’ve got to stay connected here - we’ve not been in this position with this roster. Be interesting to watch

They had 6 fouls, we had 5 in the first half.

I think the difference is if the refs swallow the whistle in the 2nd half. I think both teams could have easily had 2x the fouls.
