Speaking of football. Here I sit watching Sunday night football and I see a former defensive coordinator for the Sycamores is the defensive coordinator for San Diego. Of course San Diego's Head coach wasn't good enough for us to hire. We just had to hire a man of color (Lou West).

So, hire Harbaugh after his 1st year at San Diego and he still leaves for a bigger (level, program, $$$) job after 2-3 seasons...

Was Ind State 'better' because Thad Matta spent time on the ISU MBB staff? Was Sean Payton's brief tenure the spark to keep ISU Football going after all those years?

Alright, let’s get back to basketball. A win against Chicago State should be expected, looking to see this group get good time in the gym and continue to improve and add another W to the win column.

My 4-game micro assessment...

Teel: He is who I thought he was (minus the lack of diving after balls).
Vorst: Dude, we need you healthy!
Harding: Dude, not the best hands, but glad you're a Sycamore.
Daughtry: Get thee to the gym at 5am and work on your 3-pt shooting.
Cook: Get thee to the gym at 5am and work on your free throws.
Doughty: Apologies to you good sir, I thought you'd be a Jake Wolfe.
Wagner: Apologies to you good sir, I thought you'd be a Masen Miller.
Summers: His best is yet to come.
Alocen: Yowzah, I guess the European leagues can absolutely prepare a freshman for the NCAA.
Gray: We need you on the court...or...do we? Yeah, we do.
Walker: Won't play a lot of minutes but you gotta be ready when your name is called.
Alderink: Sorry dude, looks like we have more depth than we thought.
LeGree: Probably shoulda redshirt.
Bean: Hang in there homey.
Huttenlocker: Good choice to redshirt.

The team Chicago St had last year could’ve won the NEC this year. But their coach got raided and their roster followed.

Day before game day!

I’m gonna guess that we get favored by 14.5 pts by the odds makers. Is that a good guess or crazy talk?

I take you to be fairly intelligent but your logic isn't logic. Matta probably made a positive impact on ISU. Payton probably did too. I'm pretty sure Harbaugh would have too. What we do know is that West did not. At least in wins and losses. I talked with him a couple times. Once before he was fired and once after. He seemed to be a very nice man. Just not the coach we needed.

Now back to our basketball talk.
I remember playing a winless team (maybe Quinnipiac ?) in a early season tourney game in Florida a few years back and they beat us. Have to come to play & not just show up. Can't overlook or under estimate anybody especially in these days of unlimited transfers.
