Wasn't that the UNI squad that beat #1 Kansas in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament? Just think if we'd only had a lil' more depth in the back court following a rash of late-season injuries...recall Marshall "cramping up" during the Arch Madness semis?

Yep, I'm pretty sure you're right....besides Kwanzo, that team also had that mammoth Lurch/Sasquatch looking Center, along with that oversized and bearded elf, O'Leary.

O'Leary was like Odum...nobody recruited him out of S. IL, but @ 6'5" 240 lbs, the dude knew his role for UNI & was a rock inside! That squad didn't have any single GREAT player, but together, they knew how to kick a lil' "blue collar" ass. :pumpiron:

That was the 2010 team...

O'Leary is now a pitcher in the Reds minor league farm system. I liked him as a basketball player because he was willing to do the work and didn't give a darn about the credit.

I think you are talking about O'rear. He we t to UNI as a baseball player, then they dropped baseball. He attempted to transfer to MSU for baseball after they dropped the sport but would have been forced to sit 2 years as a result of his playing basketball. He was a player I loved to hate, was sneaky dirty but would have taken him in a heart beat.

I stand corrected. Thank you for pointing out my idiocy! Lol
